Pretty much the whole side of the car needs spraying if you get the sidestrips removed and smoothed.

Yep the entire side, metallic paint needs to be blended in so all the connecting panels will also be sprayed.

Looks cool with the small badge. I've never understood the appeal of badgeless grilles

I reckon you should be able to, it depends where you ask. I got both my bumpers smoothed and a gash on my sill repaired for £350, and the workmanship is perfect. I rang elsewhere and they quote me £200 for just the front bumper.

Ask around see what kind of prices you get in your area, you may be suprised.

The car looks fab as it is, doesn't need any smoothing IMO.

Just get the splitter sorted and a black rear view mirror and it will be perfect.

Thanks very much, ive had my car looking standard ish for the past 2 years so i fancy a change i would love to have the car in white but i cant afford a full respray. ive near enough finished on the engine apart from another live remap, so body work then interior.

Andy's selling his white GTi in teh for sale section now!! :P

What does remap do you currently have and what difference does it make?

the remap i have now is just a generic 1 and has not been tuned specifically to my car it does make a difference but i want it spot on so im going Jabba Sport to have it Coded while on a Rolling road and it will then take all my mods into contention like myBMC Polished inled Manifold Stainless Exhaust Manifold full stainless Cat back system with hidden tip.
