Where are the three doors built? I thought all the right hand drives would be built at the same place :?

I was told by my VW dealer that the 5 doors get built in India and the 3 doors in Germany

I was thinking today (dangerous, I know), my car is meant to be delivered to the factory around mid July. Now say it is, the reg plates come in August 1st. If it did arrive early by a couple of weeks what's the deal with registration of the car as I'd prefer to wait a couple more weeks and get the new plate.

Well I rang them today and was told the new regs come into affect from September 1st. Bit pants as I'll be about a month off from them. I kinda hope my car gets delayed now. Lol.

It would be a shame to get your shiny new car and then it appear to be older almost straight after, that happened to me, got a 60 plate in feb 2011 then 11's came out on 1st march.

Mines due mid july as well so it'll only be latest plate for a short while. I am not too bothered though ... I think a 12 looks better anyway than a 62. A 13 would be nice though.

You can easily delay collection for a month and potentially registration. Were you going to pay a deposit upon collection or have you already paid?

Half the deposit has been put down, the other half is due a few days before the car get there. I agree that 12 looks better than 62 but would be better having a new plate so it doesn't appear 6 months older than it actually is.
