In the interest of discussion.... Isn't this what they did with the 6n2? lauch a GTi to shift the last of the bodyshells/parts and then bring in a new model...
Na, the GTi was availiable on the 6N2 from the beggining of its life to the end. (late 99-early 02)

Spoke to the guy I know at my local dealers this morning.
No cars "on the system" yet. Only information they have as a note on their computers saying the price will be in the next price list (for MY2005).
Denied all knowledge of a facelift coming in the Spring (but he's a salesman, so you'd expect that...)
At least the GT's definately happening!
(Although he did try to sell me a fun/dune/whatever it's called)...
Deek.

Spoke to my dealer today, they estimate it to be £13000-£13500.
Apparently its getting some of the Polo Dune goodies too like Chrome dials and rear courtesy light

Also said its probably gonna be in the price lists as 'GTTDI' not just 'GT'

GT TDI sounds about right, at least VW are being selective about what they give a GTI badge to these days, especially with the Golf.

I had rear courtesy lights in my tdi sport so they're nothing new, it's just VW giving back what the car used to have from the 2002 sport models.
I know I have a Skoda now but must say the GT is tempting me, either that or I'll plump for a Golf, they are growing on me by the day.
Don't get me wrong the Fabia VRs is a very very good car but there's just something about the VW brand which is clawing me back day by day.

I think I'm right in saying I had the first tdi 100 Sport on this forum.
With mine being a 2002 model I had all the extras you don't seem to get anymore
Rear coutesy lights (3 door)
Aluminium gas struts for bonnet and boot lid
Gloss black door pillar trim
Carpeted floor mats with a blue edge matching seat trim
Approx £150 worth of equipment, Ok it's not that noticable but you'd certainly miss them. Funny how VW removed this trim without mentioning it, and now they are giving it back to you on the Dune/Fun and the public think they're getting a good deal.

When I bought my TDI it had nothing like that, so I fitted them all, crazy they leave them off, and while they're small things it really put me off.
Oh and I had no door lights!

I did

, that's another thing they've robbed from the 2002 model.

My 1.2 had puddle lights, but the FSi don't. I don't really miss them, only how nest they looked in the dark
