With launch control enabled if you hold the clutch down and the accelerator flat out it will hold the revs at an optimum point - say 2.5k rpm or something, then you dump the clutch, the revs climb as normal and you're away

I'm busy trying out all the different revs to see when my wheels spin and when they don't haha, 4k is definitely too high...

So, finally got around to booking the Polo in with John @ Big Fish Tuning.
Really impressed with the results, completely changed the way it drives!
Have to take dyno results with a pinch of salt but very happy with the figures
Ran just over 170 on the standard map, which John then managed to get up to 232 with 280ft/lbs
But due to me being a student and not wanting my clutch to go any time in the near future, tamed it back to 226/261.
I'll let the graph do the rest of the talking anyway!

Thanks again John

Stage 1 is just a filter/cone + DV
I've got a TIP on top of that.
so it's like stage 1.33
Need a TBE and FMIC for stage 2
you jelly brah?

So, had my exhaust for over a month now, safe to say I love it! Doesn't pop and bang which is a bit disappointing but makes an incredible sound at full chat yet is no louder than standard at cruising speed which is exactly what I wanted!
Still need to get some videos of it...
In other news been looking where I can spend some money next! Was pretty much set on a FMIC from Airtec until I just stumbled across this gem on eBay:
***CENSORED***
Which looks like this:

Which is a huge improvement over this:
It's a brand new bumper but the wrong colour and without grills...
So I'm now undecided what the next step should be!
The FMIC can be had for £445 fitted (normally £495 fitted as it's on an introductory offer) + a bit of £50 silicone + the grills in the picture below which are another £50
OR
I get the bumper for around £240 + repaint which is around another £240 + sourcing some grills which hopefully can be gotten from VW for another £75ish?
Having a dilemma and just wondered other peoples opinions?

Just a small update,
Today I went to go and see David at Stainless Engineering near Leeds. Big on his 1.8t's, has a Beachbuggy RS3/RS6 hybrid turbo'd S3 engine bored out to 2.0 sat in his office upstairs?!
Anyway, he sells S3/LCR/Golf heatshields on ebay but I went to see him last year and it was completely the wrong dimensions. Finally had chance to go back and see him today and within an hour drove off with a custom ali heatshield
Hopefully keep the intake temps down a bit
