Re: INSTALLING DIRECT TPMS IN POLOGT 6R RHD IND

Post by ciclo »

Disconnect the battery (ground wire) for a while. Reconnect it.
Make a new autoscan, the last autoscan you have posted does not include some things.

- Plug the VCDS, ignition switch ON, Autoscan, Gateway installation list, wait to results, Clear all DTCs, START (button) the Autoscan, Save it.
- Please post it here after to check all functions of your car.

If your radio has a security code (anti-theft) enter it again. (user manual)

Master, yes I remember enabling addresses 10 and 65 in gateway installation list. Anyway I will cross check it once again.

TPMS is working fine as of till I parked my car in airport today.

My Radio is RCD 330 from china, it doesn't have any security code as I remember.

The VCDS auto scan which I have posted is after clearing all DTC errors after installing BCM Max.

Currently I am flying, will be back on Sunday evening. I will post all the details you have asked for on Sunday night. Sorry for the delay :(

Do not worry Patil, there is no hurry ... the time to do something is always relative and dependent.
Make a new autoscan as I told you and do the pertinent checks.

In the last autoscan that you did, the Bytes of fatigue detection are not activated ... that's why I ask for everything I said before.
It's weird that in the last autoscan posted the gateway does not reach modules/addresses 10 and 65 if they were activated in the installation list.

Master Namaste I am back.

I cross checked in Gateway installation list, both addresses 10 and 65 are already marked as selected.

Just saw your preview, will go through it, first thought I will post the autoscan results.

Here is the latest VCDS autoscan you have asked for after the steps you asked me to follow:

Verify that the CAN line splices of these retrofitted modules (10, 65) are correct, also check with a multimeter the continuity in the wires, High with High, Low with Low.

Something weird is happening here ...

Yes, I have connected the CAN lines (high and low) of TPMS to CAN lines of 8K OPS module, no wires spliced, plug and play with extra black 3 pin connector, which was already connected in the TPMS wiring kit to tap the CAN lines. Ok I will do multimeter testing on CAN lines tomorrow, and post the results.

Master, I am just thinking, as I have tapped CAN lines for TPMS from OPS module, after installing BCM Max, reverse signal is not active, so is it possible that both TPMS module and OPS module are missing the link from reverse signal and hence gateway is unable to communicate with them?

Made a fuse box extension wiring(SB44, +30), inspired by you, for TPMS and other future retrofits. :D

It's difficult to see the colors of the wires in this image (below), keep in mind that green or black or other colors is usually HIGH, LOW is usually brown.

Tip: Do not trust in the color of the wires, your reference should be the slot numbers in the connectors.
Make a diagram with the correct correspondences. OPS connector, TPMS connector and new T3 connector. Verify it in your installation.

The power supply for reverse light depends on several factors in the PQ25:
- Gearbox model (Manual or Automatic/DSG).
- BCM model (High, Max, etc), BCM year (a huge quantity of BCM models from the origin of the times 2008-->😁), and vehicle in which it is installed acoording to the euipment from factory.
This is crucial for the reversing light to work.

To summarize, to some BCMs it is necessary to give electrical power through terminal T73b/11, to others by T73a/62 and to others by terminal T73b/68.

In your case (BCM Max + DSG), the IN and OUT wires in BCM connector for reverse light are correct from factory, but the power supply does not seem to be correct at this time (with BCM swap). It will be solved with the wiring for BCM adaptation I made for you, that supplies power to terminals T73a/62 and T73b/68 (which in turn also supply power to other lights).

FGTech Galleto V54 0386 (clone) to activate the Gra_High in your ECU 1.2 TSI Simos10.x

Installation

Required

- Under Windows7
- Disabled firewall and antivirus before installation. Once the program is installed you must take into account that if you enable the firewall or the antivirus the program will be blocked and will not work. If this happens it should be completely uninstalled and reinstalled.
It's recommended that you have in mind a schedule for its use. (install and uninstall only for use)
- Never use it if you are online.
- This cloned tool will only work properly when connected to the car and computer, therefore, do not open the program if it is not connected to the OBD2 port, with ignition switch ON (engine OFF).
- Click (accept) in the pop-ups when you open the program (Galleto Win7) on your computer until you reach the main window.

To install the program do exactly as indicated in the following video:

Read and write your ECU 1.2 TSI Simos10.x

To read or write your ECU, do exactly as indicated in the following video:

The battery should be above 11.5 volts during the reading or writing process. Disconnect all possible consumers (radio, A / C, lights, etc).

Reading and writing times:
- Reading 33 ''
- Writing 1 '51 "
Shown in the previous video.

You must send the read ECU file to my email.
I modify it for Gra_High activation.
You must write the modified ECU file that I will send you, as indicated in the video.

This cloned tool only makes partial reads, therefore, only use for Gra_High activation, never use to write ECU tuning files.

After loading the modified ECU file you have to Clear all DTCs with VCDS. There will be faults in almost all units because during the ECU writing process the communication with the Instrument Cluster and other units was cut off. This is totally normal, that is, it is as it should be for correct writing.

- VCDS, Autoscan, Gateway installation list, wait VCDS show the faults, Clear all DTCs. Everything should be OK. (Engine, IC, Brakes, etc ...)

OFF/ON the CCS toggle to check that Gra_High indication works.
- - - Gra_High symbol.
Between 2-5Km/h the Gra_High indication/symbol will be available in your IC MFD+ by replacing the total km/mi.

The operation of the CCS will be the same as before but with more information, it is extraordinarily useful due to the use of other menus/info during a trip.
