Thats what my friend told me too. How would it "wear out"? I mean what's the effect after that stage then.

OH and this "friend" of mine mentioned something about the G-max spring/shock kits for like £300. Any good? :P

£300.... i wuld get eibach spring and some koni shocks.... ive heard theyre a good combo.

any1 know how much a Sports damper cost from VW? :roll:

I wanna know that too - but my dealer doesn't know. :(

I think I wanna get some springs for now - no money for the whole thing. You gettin' yours lowered?

No not yet. dont fink i can put up with the harsh ride....i like my ride just now... :P

fink other fings are more important :idea:

ill find out how much VW shocks when i have time. :wink:

i need to find out how mch the VW sports shocks cost..... they were closed early today :roll:

lowering is on my list but its not top! :P

Well if you find out - let me know mate - you wanna swap your shocks with some VW ones? i.e. some "better" sports ones?

cus Petrified had 50mm with sports shocks and worked well..

itll be a nightmare on our non sports 1s

If I was you I wouldn't go for VW sport shocks.

I use them combined with H&R -35 mm springs and it hits the bumpstops frequently. And that's not a nice feeling, it's a rough bang. So I don't know how it's possible to lower the car 50 mm without changing the bumpstops.

If you want to do a proper lowering of the car, go for Eibach pro-kit springs and Bilstein Sprint shocks. That would cost you about 400-500 £.

That's what I'm gonna fit within some time.

Or how about I jus don't go THAT low and head for the -30mm ones?
