first of all, never give up on your Polo
sorry I'm busting your financials m8, just doing my thing by keeping you all posted
And how do I afford this? The answer is simple, Ebay m8, I'm still in college, and don't make that much money each month, but by keeping an eye on Ebay daily I get to score my some really good deals at prices to laugh at   And of all the others works on the Polo, most of them I do myself, which saves me a whole lot of money 8)

Stop typing Jarno and get building, we want to see finished pictures

Seriously though, it's looking real nice in the Grey, much better than the previous colour.

Sorry, took some time, but got around to snap some pictures this afternoon
First a picture of themost useless thing I've ever done  :

Image

Did he...? Yes, he DID paint his generator mat-black  Now I "only" need to do the block, gearbox and cilinderhead, to make it one nice total picture, details huh baby?!

Image

Also painted my engine mount, some colour black metallic as the interior parts:

Image
But that aint all I sprayed for under the hood in that black metallic colour:

Image

Even did the bolts for the camcover  I just love details  Now everything under the hood is black metallic while the total engine will be mat-black, with some chrome of polished stuff in between

Image

And had a afternoon off from work, so changed al the belts, juices and sparkplugs on the mk2, making it holiday proof for it's trip to France next week

Already crossed my mind m8  I heard of GTI International? Dunno if that is the "leading" VW (or Polo) event in the (southern) UK? (southern, since it's quite a boattrip+ride for me from Holland).

Probably also gonna visit the Danish Polo Club Meeting next summer (2008), and planning on going to Worthersee in Austria too, a wel, first I've got to finish the mk4

Bought myself a little gift before I go on holiday, just to go to France pleased and waiting to gone and work on the mk4 again (don't think the bird is gonna like that metality when we're on holiday ) But it's a cilinderhead from a ZEE engine, a 1600 Polo (VW Small-BLock) engine, with the advantage of bigger ports and wider diameter inletvalves

Image

As soon as I'm bakc and the gadget is in from Germany it's time to check it and get it refurbed and "flattened", to boost the compressionratio (which means more bhp's  ) all in the name of performance

well GTI international has just been and gone, with mixed reviews.

Possibly the biggest is Edition 38 over here now, being held in September. You can finish the mk4 by then, yeah??

ZEE polo engine????

There is such a thing?!?!?!?

What type of polo is it out off. I thought the 1.6 codes were AEE and AEA...

It can only be a 6N surely. I swear they didnt do a 6N2 in a 1.6 8v and they definately didnt do a mk3 polo in anythign bigger then a 1.3 i dot think...

Confusion!

Lol thought as much!

Now your doing pretty much what i intend on doing in the coming weeks this is gonna be even more interesting for me to follow!

Couple of questions firstly.

The cam and the downpipe/exhaust manifold thing. Do they both also fit the 1.6 head aswell as the 1.4 one...

Sod buying new ones to fit ill wait till i get the head first if thats the case! Stainless downpipe should be coming next week. ordering asap. Yeh boy lol. Then hopefully cam in two weeka fter that and then saving for the new head/ waiting for a new head. The local breakers doesnt have just a head at the moment. I Dont want a full block for 250 quid thank you very much!
(thats all they got, useless bastards...) lol.

Oh and you have to get this bad boy on the rollers when your done. Id love to know what kind of power your outputting. Should be atleast 100 shouldnt it?

When you getting the throttle bodies on man
