Lights look awesome! How did the wiring work? I've been looking at the sets on ebay but they talk about wiring harnesses and stuff. I wouldn't be too comfortable mucking about with wiring and stuff. Can you shed any light on this?

Didnt use the wiring harness as the bulbs are replaced with LED's therefore less current is drawn

so is it just a plug and play job? or do you have to muck about with the wiring to run the LED's?

Plug and play if you swap the bulbs to led on the rings

Just gave my alloys are really good thorough clean. Thought id better do it, because of all the salt and slush on the roads. Smothered them in poorboys wheel sealant, and then used a luster pad on the outer rim. Should last for a few weeks!

Re: Greg's Silver Polo Progress Thread
Got a few little goodies from santa yesterday
Got a GTI Splitter, which i cant wait to put on
I also got various cleaning bits including: Meguiars NXT Generation Car Wash, Meguiars Paint Cleaner (Step 1), Meguiars DeepCrystal Polish (Step 2) and Meguiars DeepCrystal Carnauba Wax (Step 3). I got some microfibre application pads, a new wash mitt, a wheel cleaning soft brush, and various other cloths
Just waiting for the weather to get a warmer so I can give the car a really good clean!

Re: 1.0L Polo Progress Thread !
How much did it cost to covert to electric mate? I'm running a 1.2 E (52 plate 9n) with no central locking and winder windows, interested in what you did?Adam- wrote:What are the footwell lights like? I wanted to try a set, but didn't want the brightness of the cathode lights (I've got a pair in my computer), and just wanted something a little softer.
Cars looking lovely though mate, keep it up!
I'm stuck with the E model, too, but I put in electric windows, and the Rclick system, so it's not too bad.
Although, everyone told me putting in windows would be too hard/impossible, they work fine! (Y)
Got any pictures of the lights?
Cheers!
Jamie
