This, to me would be very useful, especially if it could be done with the function of the RLS?
I do not know if this function will be possible via VCDS, however, iichel did a great job by adding warning lights (and other?) inside the trunk lid. Please iichel, can you enlighten us? (I can not find the pictures)

The trunk opening signal for interior light can be used to illuminate the rear zone by using LED lamps (highly recommended in order to not overload the wires).

Yes. Its very useful. I'd love it! I got to know that audi Q7 has this feature, but Q7 has two separate rear lighting, and its the one below in the bumper area will light up during the trunk opening. i'm not sure tho whether our taillights will be able to light up the area behind.

I have a 7H0 937 090 BCM, do you think it may work?
+1... haha! especially when passengers suddenly change in their minds the way to go. :lol:

I think this function will only work on BCM PQ25 from 2015 (6R0,7H0,7E0). As far as I know are those that have channel 59 available.

You re right Ciclo. In fact, it would be totally awesome if the interior lights also follows the RLS activation.

benzinkopf, the PQ25 platform is the great forgotten by those who are dedicated to software's world, forget other platforms and possible functions.

Examples:
Address 09: Cent. Elect. (J519) Labels: 7E0-937-BCM-V1.clb
Address 19: CAN Gateway (J533) Labels: None Part No SW: 7E0 909 901 HW: 7E0 937 090
...and other incomplete labels. :mrgreen:

We are forced to investigate, which I find extremely amusing and more exciting. :)

Yes. Forgotten. But thats what makes what we have here interesting!

Btw. Ive been looking into the adaptation map, and i understand that some channels will have adaptation values (sensitivity %, time in Sec, speed limit etc) while some will have 0/1 activation bit. The thing is tho, what in world is that the adaptation channels e.g. 35,36 and also 30, which have adapted values of 2? These really get my attention tho

My solution is very mechanical. I simply took the opening signal from the lid (T5j/5) and used this to operate a relay.
This is the same way that the trunk lights work.

When the boot is closed, the signal is open.
When the boot is open, T5j/5 is closed to mass.

So you take a relay:
85 = constant plus, fused
86 = T5j/5
30 = GND
87 = to the light

The RED warning light:
Plus comes from the constant plus, fused
GND to the relay

I chose to operate the relay to a GND, not to a plus. Because now I can add another light, the interior light in the boot.
See here:
viewtopic.php?f=56&t=58703&p=508366&hil ... 1A#p508366

This way, there is a possibility to operate the light OEM stye.
T3/1 GND
T3/2 switched GND
T3/3 constant plus

It's another one of those things that I would love to have. In theory it should be possible today (with 7E0 BCM) :?: .

I am sure it is 100% is possible. Look at T6 diagrams, part Ambient lighting. There T73b/4 has been changed its designation for footwell lights power supply. The illumination power supply takes through the relay.

The issue is to understand the coding changing for this retrofit.

Yes firegrafik, but I was referring to full menu of Lights and Vision. I apologize for explaining it wrong. :oops:

The coincidence has wanted that in the multifunctional screen of the image is selected footwell lights. :lol:

However we have to take into account that our license plate lights (LED) are through pin 7 (58_out), and the Dimmer is through pin 4 (58_out), both are important in fault checks of these electrical installations.

With that lamp you can select the side you want. Funny. :lol:

Hi everybody, this is going to be out of topic a bit. Regarding the LH and Auto Lights. I would like to confirm whether my understanding is correct. From what i experience now, it seems like both functions have their own sensitivity with regards to the RLS. There's a time, normally between day/night sunset moment, when i unlock the car, there's no LH. But, when i enter the car and switch on the ignition, the auto light came out. So am i correct that the functions have their own sensitivity level set for RLS?

Maybe worth a look at the A1, it states that it's PQ25 platform, but I'm sure from checking last time it wasn't [emoji848]
Image
But it has the trunk lights as OEM, Image

Maybe we now need a channel map from an A1 [emoji23]

the A1 is based on the PQ35 electronics, for sure :(

PS, ciclo, does your 7E0 937 090 B BCM have the adress 65 (TPMS) available in the CAN gateway?
my 7E0 937 090 does not have it
