Was bored so decided to remove the rear wiper on my GTI, will see how bad the visibility out of the rear windscreen gets before deciding whether to leave it off or not but I think it definitely looks better without. Please excuse the horrible rubber plug in there currently, I'm waiting for a nicer one in the post! ImageImage

Oh and please also excuse the awfully dirty car ;)

Apparently the easy fix for this if you can't wait for VW is to get those sticky soft pads you fit under furniture feet and stick one of those behind the belt adjuster which means it won't rub/scratch when you adjust it but stops it rattling.

Me too! I'm on holiday this week - at home decorating - I will get nothing done if it's ready too early!

I've found that the rattling is coming from the 'Draw' underneath the passengers seat.. might be worth having a look yourselves, just opening it and closing it seems to stop it.

Other type of rattle i get is when the seat belt on the passengers seat rests on the arm which lifts the seat forward and backward!

Proper relieved when i sussed the rattling, thought about taking it to VW for them to sort it at first.

Hope that helps

Yeah mate, link to the bulbs...
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00K ... ge_o00_s00

Have to purchase two, i ordered one thinking they came as a set but you only get the one.
Took about 10 mins to fit both! You'll need a torx screwdriver set with the 'star' shaped bits... then to take the face off, theres a metal hook that comes with the spare wheel kit, hook it in the insert on the panel then a bit of force it comes off!
did these throw any bulb warnings mate?
No bulb warnings mate!

The rattle I had was the vanity light behind the passenger visor!

Did they just pop it out and put a pad or something behind it or replace altogether? Out of interest where did the sound seem to be coming from as its amazing how sound travels.

I don't actually know :? Picking it up this afternoon as I've had N/S skirt replaced too.
It sounded like it was coming from the dash - did think it was around the stereo at one point. It was only with the mech in the car properly listening for it that we figured it out exactly. It didn't help it wasn't constant either.

mine has just gone back in for the second time to have 2 noises fixed

one is the interior light buzzing and the other is a rattle from behind the steering wheel center/horn button

i took a tech out first time and he picked them both up but yet never got fixed.

i really do hope they fix it as they are both made worse when in sport mode so don't even use at the moment
