Yes, we have to take into account all the possibilities in our experiments since we have no VCDS label for Gateway.

For the second Byte my Gateway accepts these codings (without communication faults): 002201 or 002203

by the way, i just realized something.

recently i was messing a bit with the adaptation channels of the bcm.
i noticed that the headlight washers now start at the 5th cycle.
before it was at the 1st cycle.

i guess it's somewhere in 27, 28 or between 50 and 60. it just popped into my mind... but cannot test

channel 42 is to define how many cycles before the washers spray.

but what i meant is that if I pull once, before I had headlight and windscreen washers, the next 4 pulls only windscreen, then windscreen + headlight washers.
now it's 4x windscreen, 1x headlight + windscreen, 4x windscreen, 1x headlight + windscreen etc.

(channel 42 is 5 on my car)

5 is factory value for the 42 channel.


In any case, all the changes/modifications that you have made in coding/adaptation are in the 'Debug' folder VCDS program. Search by date.

maybe it's easier if you send us the link to that website instead of making photos of the screen
if it goes onto a footwell light, my first guess would be a 1J0 972 923, the one that ciclo suggested to you
