Looking good though (as usual)

GLOVE-BOX! Yes! that was the word I was looking for

can't help thinking all-red rear clusters would help break things up a little.
great project though

Had the same idea at the start of the project, but when I first saw the car in colour at the paintshop with these dark LED-rears in it, I was sold

they just give a (in my opinion) beautifull dark "touch" to the overall look of the car, and I just love it, so it's probably gonna stay in (but you never know what the future will be like

)

Jarno,
What wheels are you putting on it? Or is that going to be kept quiet?

Nopthing secret about that m8, the refurbed GTI's will be comin' back under it, photo's of the polished lips are way back in this topic, but still haven't got an idea for the colour of the centre's, thinking of BMW's Sparkling Graphite or Audi's DolphinGrey Metallic, darker then the car's colour, but not balck or mat-black

Why bother getting them sprayed mate, just do what I do. Drive around for ages and eventually the brake dust changes them a grey colour. Then when your bored off grey just wash it off and start over

only joking, I agree that black wouldn't look bad but a grey colour would look better. Suit the cars styling better.

think that will take some time, since I just got new EBC Greenstuff's (with less brake dust) on the front and no discs on the rear

Didn't have much time for the mk4 last week, but did manage to do some small thingys. also got around to install the "new" rear shockers of my FK Highsport coilovers.
But first tried on the BBS GTI's, was wondering how it would look with the spacers that are on.
From behind:
From above:
And guess what . . . :
The colour of the centre's is just a slight lighter type of Shadowgrey then the car is at the moment!!! I bought the GTI's with this colour of centre's, but forgot that, so was kind of pleasently surprised.
Then mounted the rear coilovers, but didn't feel like messing with a oxidated set in the future, so greased the entire coilwire with coppergrease:
Grease on, start turning it all the way to the top, more grease and then back down again, slided as smooth as f*ck*ng a freak trippin' on E
And done!
Mounted and reaady:
It's on the lowest setting right now, all the way to the floor, and tried to test it's stiffness by sitting on the edge of the boot/trunk, it's a bit stiffer then my previous FK AK coilover set

Thanx m8, u r makin' me blush
But sorry, can't move to the UK, first of all my steeringwheel is on the wrong side, and don't think that I'll get used to driving on the left in stead of the right side of the road, and most of all, I just can't get used to eating chips with fish and salted pork and vinegar on top out of an old newspaper
(but I do like the British feelings towards the French, the French DO s*ck)

Jarno, I've just caught up with the last two or three pages of this thread, and what a great job you're doing with the project!

Going to be a stunner? His coilovers alone look better than my car.

@ septic: thanx, I guess, haha.
Mounted the front coilovers too last week, car is at it's lowest possible now, it hangs on it's frontwheels, and that without a heavy weight engine in the front

so it's gonna go up a bit, it's even neccesary to get the car on the car-ambulance, since it's now to low to get it on
