I've seen none and I've been on the M6 daily, M1, A1M and M25 in the last few months and nothing. Plenty of normal Bluemotion Polos, but no GT badges. I've only ever seen two and they were at the dealerships!wigit wrote: still can't believe how few i have seen on the road

Re: Polo Blue GT
I have seen one other GT, apart from at the dealership, which was Black. It would be interesting to know how many BlueGTs Volkswagen have sold in the UK.

In the month the wife has had hers we've never seen another one on the road. Really enjoying the exclusivity

Re: Polo Blue GT
I have seen a few here in Denmark on the road.
But it's still not a common sight to see one.
My BlueGT is on the other hand one of the only Polo's I've seen with Bi-Xenon... 99 out of 100 have regular halogen headlights.

Finally got to see a white Blue GT yesterday at the Frankfurt Motorshow on the VW stand, VW said they are rare in Germany

It's a bi*ch to keep clean, so no wonder...

I recently drove from the South upto Inverness and back in my Silver 'Blue-GT' and I am yet to see another (of any colour) on the roadFaye_Valentine wrote:I've seen none and I've been on the M6 daily, M1, A1M and M25 in the last few months and nothing. Wish I had forked out for the bi-xenons now. The seat warmers and alcantara cloth was a nice upgrade though. Tinted rear windows also a must!

Re: Polo Blue GT
Hi,
New member here - put down a deposit for a blue, blueGT on Friday which apparently is already in build in the factory. Been told roughly 4-5 weeks at the moment (the spec of the car was already fixed).
I'm coming from a Peugeot 207 Gti, so used to not seeing many of what I drive on the roads! My children are older now and 3 doors is a pain (stupidly heavy for the size of the car).
Looking forward to better mpg & cheaper road tax without sacrificing too much oomph...

Re: Polo Blue GT
So I picked up my Blue GT yesterday and honestly I couldn't be more happier. I've had countless people tell me how nice it is. I have never seen another one on the road which is great I love having a car that not everyone is rocking. Any who this is her:

You've done well to get one in 4 to 5 weeks. Presumably they were building this without it having been ordered which strikes me as unusual as I thought they were all built to order.aniseedvan wrote:Hi,

Re: Polo Blue GT
I haven't seen a silver one yet so I'm curious as to how it looks. There is a black one in Hull which I have seen 3 or 4 times now.PoloGT wrote:I recently drove from the South upto Inverness and back in my Silver 'Blue-GT' and I am yet to see another (of any colour) on the roadFaye_Valentine wrote:I've seen none and I've been on the M6 daily, M1, A1M and M25 in the last few months and nothing. Talking of wish list, I wish I had ordered the RNS 315 Sat Nav now.

Re: Polo Blue GT
Maybe the original buyer cancelled? My dealership said there is a chance you can get one to your spec early if another deal falls through elsewhere. The car is still built but is advertised to the dealerships as forthcoming stock....Garfy wrote:You've done well to get one in 4 to 5 weeks. Re: Polo Blue GT
I'm guessing the latter, I was surprised to be honest. And let's celebrate when it appears - it might not get here then! Order says estimated date of 14th November for some slack. No order number on the sheet, so I'll try and get that off him tomorrow (ran out of time for the finance paperwork last week).Faye_Valentine wrote:Maybe the original buyer cancelled? I seem at odds with most on this thread but my "must have" was the auto dimming mirror. The pug has it but hubby's Octavia vrs doesn't and I hate driving his car at night just for that reason. Petty probably but it's a nice touch IMHO.
Car specc'd as: 5 door, blue silk, rear tints, convenience pack, got him to chuck in some mats for nowt as well as matching the best carwow price, plus a fair price for the pug.
Was a fairly pain-free experience and I'm looking forward to my servicing being 10 minutes away rather than the hour+ it is to the pug dealer (but I have had 5+ happy years with them as they are so much better than the local one).
Will miss the folding mirrors (children clattering about you never know whether you've locked the front door, the car, etc etc) and the auto on lights, but oddly again I don't miss them that much in the Octy. Rear tints are funny on the pug. Used to pull up in parent and toddler spaces at the supermarket, someone would stop and say "you can't park here" then have to eat their words as two pre-schoolers came out of the back, hehe. Very handy inbuilt sunblinds too!
Interestingly I spotted a white BlueGT in MK last week. But as the VAG head office is literally round the corner from where I saw it, there's always an assortment of unusual Audi's, VW's floating about there..
Faye - I also considered the A1 sportback sport, but the biggest negative was the rear seemed cramped, both from a rear view and sitting in it. With the seat at my driving position, I can easily sit in the back of the Polo, I had nowhere near as much room in the A1. Drove nice enough though.

Re: Polo Blue GT
Got the order number - dealer checked whilst I was on the phone - it's at "awaiting shipment"..
