Cheers rm55mcc! They are total replacements, I was worried myself they where only going to be stuck on and if that was the case I wasn't gonna bother with them. Thankfully they where not :)
I agree, a NI meetup would be great! Only ever seen 1 other on the road thus far, and these peepers are always peeled for nice cars ;)

Cool. Think I'm gonna get my mate to wrap them in that good looking 3D type carbon vinyl before spending on proper items.

Are you on RMS? There are a few gti owners on there, and I know of another silver one being collected this week.

Looking forward to getting these springs on as the ride height is ridiculous imo

I'm def a convert to the VW family, it's a fantastic car and the best I've owned so far when it comes to ticking all the boxes. Apart from the small boot which I already knew about there's nothing I can fault it really.... ok maybe the speakers could be a bit better!

One thing that hasn't worked yet though is the auto wipers. It's turned on in the settings but I seem to have to do them myself still, not a biggie but does the stalk on the steering wheel have to be in a certain position?

You flip it up one position for auto wipers. If you then adjust the little dial that goes from left to right on the stalk that changes the sensitivity.

Awesome! Hope the wait goes in fast for you. I Have both options on mine. I Love the car net app it works seamlessly for me, Ive heard some people having bother and such but for me its a must have to be honest (Maps, music, messages, Siri when she decides to understand me and the UI is quite aesthetically pleasing). The sport button is great too, just gives the car that little raspier racier edge whenever you feel the urge ha ha. For all the price of them I cant see why you wouldn't opt for them! That's just one novices opinion though :)

DSG or Manual? On the DSG the sport button gives you full torque so would be a definite tick

I would go for both as I have the Sport button but not the Car Net App and kind of wish I had gone for this now. I'm even thinking of getting it fitted at the dealer if I can. For the money I think it's worth going for..... bad oversight on my part!

I have ordered a manual!
At first I kind of thought that the car net app would be a bit of a pointless add on but now after doing a bit of researching I am swayed a tad lol does anyone know how it is with an android phone?

I was too late to add the car net app but also looking to get it done at the dealership if my model of system supports it.

Finally got the VW order number out of the lease company today along with my registration number.

Still sitting in the uk port at the moment though but hopefully not long to wait.

To give you guys who have recently ordered a time frame I ordered mine on 29th Jan.

I'd love to retro fit the carnet app. Do you have any details on how to do this?

If you have the correct stereo, its about a £200+ code that vw use to activate it. I think I read somewhere on a golf forum a few people had paid to have it activated.

When I bought mine, I went for the car play as for the the money, it seemed too good to not have.

My Polo was looking disgusting the last few days after I "rallyed" a dirt road in Alentejo, southern Portugal.
Finally gave it a wash and it's looking beastly again :D

And a video of a few revs. The car doesn't go over 4000RPM when not in gear. Today I learned.
