Not sure of the benefits of the rear view camera either. Lot of people on this forum having problems with the camera but to tell the truth if you can't park a polo there is something seriously wrong with you
I only got the rear view camera because I wanted Cruise Control and it was only £25 more, but I've got to say it really is very useful. I consider myself to be very good at parking but it just makes it even easier, so easy to line up into bays, less change of hitting curbs when parallel parking etc. Very occasionally (I think its happened twice) the camera won't come on and it really highlights how much of a convenience having it on is!

This was the reason I opted for the rear view camera; I wanted cruise control, so the camera was a no brainier at only £25 more. Never had one before, and haven't had any issues with it. It has helped me avoid reversing over my neighbours cat, who was snoozing on my driveway behind the car and I didn't know it was there when I got in the car!

So I have been whinging about whether I stick with my Polo or go with the ST. I am test driving the ST again in a couple of weeks time and it will be interesting to see if the new suspension set up will be any different to the one I tried over a year ago. Just looking for something a bit more engaging to drive. Nothing wrong with the Polo but I feel you have to crank it up to get anything out of it. I am no boy racer by the way but I was in someone's Ford Zetec today and it was very good in terms of handling. Interior not great but I wasn't greatly impressed after heavy rain and opening a rear door to get water running into the interior in my Polo! I'll let you know how I get on.

Yeah m8 let us know, and if u decide to swap tell us the sort of hit we can expect. I never thought I'd say this but Peugeot are knocking out some cracking motors at min, interior quality has been upped to a level that's more or less best in class. 208 GTi is pretty damn good by all accounts, if u can see dials with that small steering wheel tho lol

Will do. Lots of good deals out there. With car wow I am at just under £16,000 which is an ST3 plus steel spare wheel and parking sensors. Trade in value of £13,500 offered which is not bad for my Polo plus the 24 month finance is at sub 1% APR. Drive the deal are claiming £14,000 but I find that hard to believe but if that were true we are in swap old for new territory. Originally thought I couldn't justify the change but it seems to be possible now. Yes the interior is fairly naff but I do miss the heated front screen and there are as many toys on the ST 3 as on my current Polo. I think my inner chav is being released but who cares!

Lol fair play. I think I'm goin the other way, I fancy something more comfortable and economical as my GTi's mpg is horrendous around town, good on a run tho.

My car will be better traveled than me! When I said I wanted to take it round Europe, this is not what I had in mind.
Still, if we're very lucky... might actually be able to get them at the weekend. Just have to shift it on a transporter to the dealers and then inspect it... Shouldn't take more than a week I imagine. (Famous last words?)
Car now showing as in the UK, think it was unloaded yesterday so hopefully not long now.
Mine still has a Ship to get, to get it across the Irish sea.

Andy, sounds like you've got a lot of the same rattles as me. I wrote to VW UK following the dealership attempting to fix it at least 4 times and they're taking the matter really seriously. Could be worth getting in contact.

Yes m8 will do, so dealers still as useless at rattles as they used to be. All my gloss black trim on centre console creaks more so when air con on cold. Been bad last few days as u can imagine

They've fixed my rattly a-pillar and trip reset button fine. Just the glovebox, passenger door, b-pillars (which have been replaced already) and nsr trim to figure out next.......
Annoying because the car doesn't fail to put a smile on my face.

Yeah that's my thoughts to m8, I rarely drive without my music on so don't hear them , but I just know they are there lol.

Same, but I work in the music industry and spend 14 hours a day listening to music, so I usually have it off or listen to radio 4 on the way home lol. I'll let you know if I get anywhere with VW UK..

Yep, spot on. Got a call from the dealer y'day to arrange handover! Unfortunately I have to delay it slightly because of work and the chap doing the handover being on leave when I wanted to collect - won't get mine until early August now. Have you been given an ETA for yours?
