Ben's Polo GTI - Type R Pics - Page 28

Post by Godderz23 »

Real nice dude, love the facelift models. Only thing I don't like is the rear lights, look to lexus'y.

A lot of people put the earlier spec all red rear lights on, nicer in my opinion. Besides that I love it bro, let us know updates and stuff.

I agree with you 100% mate, the facelift Lexus style rears just dont suit the black EP3's.
I think i'll be getting a pre-facelift set in the future or maybe tint my existing ones :)

Yeah i'll deffo keep everyone updated, i'm pretty skint now in all honesty so I wont have much to report for a while

Spoon systems are nice but very expensive, I'm not that keen on the look of their backboxes either.
The first thing I want to get is a Gruppe M or Tegiwa Carbon Airbox :D

Type R's unfortunately do have a bad reputation due to a small minority of idiots but you get that with every performance car. They are cheap & very quick though so its to be expected, same applies for the old scooby's & evo's which have been plauged with a bad reputation for years despite them being awesome cars.

Spoon systems sound immense but they are pretty pricey, I dont like the look of the backbox either lol
I want to get the induction side sorted first and then maybe a Mugen front Grille 8)

You wont be disapointed with an S2000, seriously quick :)

It hasnt properly been advertised yet so i'm not that concerned, i'll get it on Autotrader next weekend :)

Cheers Joe :) Fun is symbolic with the Type R, really exciting cars to drive and very comfy.
It does lack the attention to detail in comparison to the Polo but that VTEC engine more than makes up for that

The only thing I dont like about VTEC is how high RPM the delivery is compared to the golf for example. Though it does sound good!

Make sure you put it on ebay classifieds too ben - much cheaper than autotrader and much wider audience.

I love the high reving lol :) but yeah you do have to put your foot down to get them going compared to a turbo petrol/diesel
The power band is relatively small though as VTEC kicks in at 5800rpm and the limiter is at 8400rpm on the standard UK models.
I may address that somewhere down the line and change the ECU which increase the limit to 8900/9000rpm 8)

Cheers Alex, will do mate. How much is it to advertise on eBay as a classifield add?
