By flat, do you mean linear in its power delivery? The MK7 Golf started that. My Scirocco 170TDI felt slower than my MK7 Golf GTD, because of the linear power delivery. The Golf GTI feels the same. Only the sheer power of my R gets over this when taken over 4k revs, where it really picks up.

I think linear power is probably best to explain what I feel, there is never any real kick? or pull I've felt in other cars which push you into the seat it feels slow to me which it shouldn't? I've came from a Peugeot 307 HDi S 1.6 and I've had a CLK 270 CDi (Automatic) which had the pull feeling but it was RWD. Maybe I'm not driving it right? Should I be using the flappy panels more than relying on the Auto?

Found a cobweb in the headlamp unit. Anyone else had this or any advice on cleaning it?

Dtuk have one but I would treat with caution. Most of the big names haven't bothered to develop one for the pre wltp GTI's due to the limited market. Keep an eye on Burger Motorsports, their boxes have a very good reputation on the Golfs. They are American so their market won't be fussed with wltp changes. Also wait for the many comments regarding warranty, insurance, reliability etc etc. I'm sure you are aware of the risks but it's a free world (sort of) the choice is yours!

I've been in contact with Burger Motorsports in regards to a JB4 tuning box (had one on my old Golf R) and there should be one coming out in the next 2-3 weeks.

They've seen between 240-250BHP on their test car. He said the only issue they see is temps getting a little high because the stock intercooler isn't that big.

Cheers guys 250 would be beautiful, I'll keep my eyes peeled, even 230 if it kept cooler would be brilliant. Keep me posted if you see it come out!

Bit of an odd question to any GTI owners. Where abouts does your GTI hit the redline when in sport mode with your foot planted? Mine will change up no matter what at 6K revs even though the shaded redline starts at 6.5K and full redline is at 7K. Doesn't really bother me too much just seems a little odd.
