Yeah the longer I had the red drums the more I disliked them.

Haven't done anything on the car in ages. Cant even properly clean it due to the weather so I decided on fitting some LED rear bulbs to match the colour of the LED Hella's.

Also haven't been able to use my new camera on a shoot because the cars so dirty and crappy weather. Used it at Autosport though. Got a Panasonic Lumix TZ7.

To be ohnest you cant tell its a LED bulb but the red colour matches my LED rear lights. Where before hand it had a pink hue. I'll try to get some pics though at night for ya. I've only seen them around late afternoon though not properly in the dark.

Well I got 3 out of 4 done. Easier to mount than I thought. Hardly any modification req. But leaving the last one until I pick up some parts from VW. Treating myself to a new grab handle and one possibly two window winders.

Here's some pictures of my tidy wiring.

Front two are in and in use and sound alot better, after some adjustments on my head units settings. Haven't been able to test it with all four as waiting for parts from Germany. Hopefully get them all in next weekend.

Think thats it for now mate, well once the jobs complete. Just been told they've arrived so hopefully finish it tomorrow night, weather permitting.
I would love to lower it again but the ride was way to harsh. Also trying to keep the insurance low, hence no body work or induction kit etc.

Re: *** LOL's Mk5 6N2 SE WIP Thread, Lowered pics pg27 ***
I think you should drop it a sensible amount,45-55mm will have it looking quite tidy yet retaining comfort. In my honest opinion 6N2'S look better with subtle lowering aposed to sump scraping.

Re: *** LOL's Mk5 6N2 SE WIP Thread, Lowered pics pg27 ***
I agree. I had it dropped around the 60mm mark but that wasn't on the best springs/dampers. I'm sure i'll change my mind, like I have done since owning it. If I was to lower it, I would buy a decent 40mm lower suspension kit rather than coil overs.
One thing I may do next is try and remove some dents along my passenger side sill, if its possible? The previous owner must of had it jacked up poorly at some point. Also want some Lupo GTi wipers but hard to come by unless I buy new.
