Dissoldering the chip is a valid alternative but a soldering station is required. I've only simple iron solder.

To compensate, in your case (LHD), either the passenger has to lose a little weight or the driver has to gain a little weight, in my case it's the other way around.

Today I've replaced the rear disks and find out one clip is missing but can't find the code on etka and the clip is not included even with new pads.
Can you help me solving the mistery? Thanks!

Those come with new brake pads
you have pads with that hardware and without

I purchased Ate pads (first equipment) but the clip are missing.

They are even missing in the photo showed on Etka.

Mhh...pads fit anyway without them but i think it's better with.

5K0 698 231 is different clip. The right one should be 1J0615231.

1J0615231 is NOT the right part. I had to cut it it order to fit the pads.

Any help will be appreciated.
