whats with the bonnet vent? its not a fapping nissan sunny gti-r
theres no getting away from the polo being a classy car, but when people turn them into hideous creations it ruins the image imo
always a minority i suppose

Yes indeed whats with that bonnet vent  D'ya know, supposely its a skyline bonnet vent?! Since when did a skyline have a bonnett vent...and its a bleedin polo not askyline.

r&a do some really nice kit,a polo can look nice with 17s,just not too over the top on the bodywork,i think that UV kit is awful, but the cars had a lot of time and effort put into it to be fair.

will look at the r&a website,
ilike the rs3 kit what do u people think? i think it s just enough, not to over the top. i had a price for paint today to re spray my car when i kit the kit. They said the paint would cost me £130. its just a standard pearlrescent blue colour.
is that price good?

Extremely cheap
considering i paid 100 quid for my front splitter and door handles to be done
though rarish colour might have something to do with it

You'll probably whinge but...

You said you're being different by fitting big wheels and a bodykit, but really it is no different to the masses of chav'd up Saxos and Corsas. They all have the biggest wheels they can fit (leaving it riding higher than stock) and a bodykit with no thought for the actual styling of the car.

As everyone has said go for less is more. You won't regret it! People go for this "look" with VWs as it looks best!

Wheels that fill out the arches and look in proportion always look best, 15s fit that criteria perfectly... that's why they are so popular. Personally I think smaller than 15" wheels look s**t on a mk4 but Jez's on 14s really pulls it off.

If you really are set on having a bodykit try and get something that will enhance the original lines.

Ah f**k it just buy a Mynheer bodykit and go spaceship-stylz... 8)

i had 15s on my old polo and lowered it 35mm with only a gti front splitter added and it looked good IMO. never attracted the attention of the cops and i never had any trouble with scrubbing or grounding.

theres a pink, yes pink, saxo round my way witha a full on bodykit and standard vts/vtr wheels and it looks f****** pants.

i'm with the rest of the guys on this one, less is more. subtle yet stylish is the way to go!
