Like Dino stated - put the ball in their court - otherwise they'll drag it out to the end of the warranty and start getting sh***y with you!

Ask them for a plan of action - there are only so many parts that make it run and by the sound of it they've changed most of them...

Keep persevering and apply some pressure :!:

Just thought I would give you guys an update on this, basically after changing pretty much everything apart from the engine and the ECU, VW are suggesting it's the way I drive the car.

I had a technician come out with me to see the fault happen, but sods law it didn't do it! But he suggested that it could be because I change gear too early.

I was just wondering at what RPM do the guys with 1.4TDIs change gear at?

I've told them I don't accept what they say and i'm gonna get onto VW head office to make a complaint.

Hi

I have a 1.4 TDi it really depends what driving mood you are in to where i change gear if im just cruising its normally about 2.5 - 3 but not much more. My tdi did lose power the other day and my boost gauge wouldnt move there was no boost registering it turned out i had a tiny crack in one of my boost pipes and it just wasnt registering boost all the time!!!

All fixed now tho

Good luck

Thanks for your response Claire, got my dad to drive the car today to see when he would change gear, and he too changes later than I do. I usually change up about 2K, maybe I've been too cautious after all??

Yeah that's what the technician said. I tried driving it differently today but it still went into limp home mode on the way home from work.

Took it back to VW on my way home and they wont do any more on it, so I've contacted customer care and it's in their hands now.
