Yep defo into the 200+club now... fraid not local im 65miles north of aberdeen in Scotland lol....there is a few cupra's goin bout my area but not any R's :D

they are old ones, i'm not too happy about the power lost at the wheels/transmission? isnt usually that high is it?, dont think the 17" rims do alot of good tbh, want to get it RR'd now so I know where im at

I thought that was quite low to amount to be lost.

But i've just checked my rolling road print out and the Polo only lost 24bhp.

someone with similar spec got a recorded time of 5.050 secs to 60mph with really sticky tyres, here's him racing his mates type r

I reckon due to the possible boost leak i'd be looking at high 5's

yup ended up being the N75 sensor, the rubber cover had degraded & it was shorting to ground making my car go spak, all sorted now!

Thats good fella cos noticed you had like 12 faults or summin :shock: as far as im aware the only problems th previous owner had wit my R was the individual ignition coils goin

yeah it had blown a fuse and was throwing out all kinds of faults...all gone now :)

Sounds like yours is in good nick, any problems so far?

Yep the boy i bought it off kept it in tip top condition no problems as of yet (touches wood) only niggle i have is my passenger foglight is cracked and is gonna sting me £60 all in from seat, by the sounds of things you got a cracking deal wit trading in the little polo in for the cupra

yeah i'm very happy, few problems with it though that need fixing,

- its throwing out some smoke
- the front bumper is ridden with stone chips, its like someone has been driving it up a gravel path all its life, so it needs respraying

and thats about it...but still a great deal
