Thanks guys!
Ha, yeh they smell awesome.
No plans for parcel shelf, I'm happy with seats and door cards, vRS interior is nice as standard anyway, all black trim unlike the standard 6N2.

Love the seats mate, car looks very nice - nothing to over the top.
Quick question regarding the seats - do the company re-trim seats? I'm looking at getting a similar design for my 6n2 to replace the '1' logo. Could you possibly PM me and give me an idea of the costs?

Thanks mate.
They were done by a company called Seat Surgeons, top guys. They offer discount for briskoda members as they return so much business from members, so I couldn't comment on what it would cost for your polo sorry mate. Give them a shout though see what they say!

Spent the last month getting on with the sound install.
I've gone for a 4 channel amp to power front components and 10" sub. I'm using a 4 gauge wiring kit, with an autoleads adaptor to provide me with two RCA outputs out of my existing OEM double DIN head unit. This give me the speakers and sub on separate channels.
I've installed the amp under the front seat for stealth, and will be making a custom fibreglass sub box.
I'm using Alpine Type G front components, with Golf 4 adaptors
JL Audio 10W0v3 sub
Ground Zero Iridium Amp (70W RMS to my speakers, 250W RMS to my sub)
Stripped the door down and sound proofed with 2mm and 4mm silent coat
wires run using existing looms
amp fitted under seat:
floor clearance
wires under floor
ground point under seat
all run using existing carpet hole
Autoleads adaptor
The speakers sound amazing, really really happy with them. I've tested the sub and it works great, it's not fitted yet though as I don't have a box!

Nice work Tim. How would you rate the type G's against the type R's you had in your 6N2? Im thinking of getting type R's in the front and maybe the G's for the rears. Not sure if i can justify R's all round.
I really rate Alpine though. They are the best aftermarket components in my opinion. I have a type R sub with Alpine V power amp and it is mental. Although it is wired up in my house to the surround sound via a computer power supply

Thanks guys. Your right Craig, can't buy a bit of noise!! B)
Endi - it's early days at the minute, so I won't be able to comment until I've had a good listen and tweaked the amp and headunit settings, I'm really really impressed with them though. My mate owns my old polo so once I've got my settings just right I'll organise a direct comparison!!
If I was you though, I'd put all your money into some really tidy front speakers. Why have decent speakers all round when you can have amazing speakers up front? Unless its because you already have some of them (would explain the type Rs you have in your house!).

Don't rate alpine at all, once you get loud the noise is horrendous. You got to pay above 300 for decent fronts, buy decent 1st time round and you won't have to buy again...! Bang for buck is focal or hertz or kappa. I got focal krx2 up front and kappa in the rear. Quality is amazing. But the jl sub is hard to beat I got two of the 12" jl's and there perfect i reckon.
