it only works with mirror link certified apps like Sycic Car and HTC Music, I've looked for a list on the net but not came across one yet VW and skoda have a few apps developed Google haven't got many apart from Music, I think it's odd maps isn't certified... I works fine for what I need it to do and I can understand the safety fact of having it disable most features whilst the driving as the temptation to fiddle could cause an accident. I've got a HTC One M8 running Lollipop and a Samsung Galaxy Ace on Kit Kat and both seem fine with mirror link although it is noticeably quicker on the HTC
