perhaps you can refresh the oil for the power steering pump, it might have frozen up

Well when it was -9 i sticked my finger in, and it wasn't frozen. Being it the cheapest option and fluid flush is a plus, can I just suction out the fluid from the bottle and turn the steering wheel to get the most of the fluid out?
Will 1l of fluid be enough?

If it's anything like the system on the 9n or 9n3 2-3L was more than enough.

Suck the old out, fill, lock to lock 10~ times, repeat until clear.

I have bled the system. Old oil was black. I have managed to suck out about 500-600 ml. Numerous lock to lock to get the most out. You need 1l of power steering oil.
I bought 2l, and did one "bleed of system/ flush" with car on jack stands.

Initial impression much lighter steering wheel like its coded for light car, and not for GTI ( in have it coded for GTI i like heavier steering).

We will see tomorrow if it does the trick, and I think it will. Feels much better.
Oil was pretty cheap 6eur for 1l, i recommend flush to anyone.

Update: Despite the oil flush its not working again.
No power steering pump speed until about 10 minutes of working in neutral.

Rip power steering pump. Temp of power steering pump was 4°C same as yesterday. When it reached 14° it started working.

Update: it seems that mechanics never really fail on these pumps.
Only mechanic part is a bearing.
Im searching a bit on Russian forums, and I have found a site that sells repair kits for all sorts of pumps.

https://voltag.ru/catalog/list/f2-351/

The repair kit contains components that fail in these pumps.

that's true, electrics often fail due to water ingress

Mine pumped died, and i have replaced it.
For fun, I striped down my old pump. And guess what, these pumps are sabotaged from the start.
Why?
The large connector ( 12V and ground) has two holes! That lead directly into the el. Compartment. Meaning your transistor, capacitors will die. El.+ Water= party.

So people check your connector and do what ever you can to protect the connectors from water ingress! Water wont seep from side, its so hard glued/ sealed.

Why your oil becomes black, because metal parts are getting worn, and black particles stick to the metal parts of the pump, oil changes wont help it without pressure mechanical cleaning. Meaning this is in rack also etc.
Basically at the bottom i had a puddle of water.

This leads me to think Simens injectors are also sabotaged. There you go, love VW.

If you keep talking about your Polo and VW in general, why not sell it? I'm getting a bit tired of all your negative remarks about VW and their products.

I will and will never buy VW again!
I saw a lot of dumb stuff. Their stuff is modular and you all like it. You can retrofit all sorts of stuff, but it's not smartly thought out.
Their best car was Mk2 Golf !
I dont know how buyers put up with their sabotaged stuff, and if it dies under warranty, well you are on your own.
Come on how can you even justify this, and lol SMF kit for 1.4 TDI 700-1000 GBP. Non-sence.
I think there are other car brands that cause less head-ache.
Be real, im not the only person that had issue with this.
