Like the wiring diagram.
Pin 1 = +12V
Pin 2 = GND
Pin 3 = + lighting
Pin 4 = - lighting ( I tried this because without this pin even light does not light up )

Is this yours?

So Pin4 = +12V

Strange. Do you have the wiring from Golf8 or T-Roc or ID3 to compare ?

I have a single USB port only but wiring is the same. CNK did it a while ago. That's where I took the wiring from.

T-roc uses 2G6035954 ( dual USB type C )
Only 3 pins are used
T4/1 - +15
T4/2 - GND
T4/3 - 58d
T4/4 - unused

Thank you all.
It is clear that the module should work with the first two pins connected to +12V and GND but it doesn't.
I even tried the way iichel did. So maybe it is a defective one.
I will buy another one.
Thanks

Ambient lights

Project is over. It took many hours and a lot of effort. About 4 hours for each door.
It was worth the effort, the result is perfect.
I only hope that the Chinese materials will stand the test of time.

OK, I bought a used unit from T-Roc and it works. Of course the plastic face is different from the Octavia, so I used the Chinese shell and electronic board from the T-Roc and made a working unit. Then I proceeded to install it in the car.

This is the final result.

Thank you for your help. I will post a guide for this installation.

As i mentioned i bought the plastic trim with the USBs holes. (5E3863618 (9B9)

The USB module with 2 USBs - C ports is the 3G5035954A

An cheap sourch is from a Poland site named SkodaParts   (https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/ ... 38659.html)

I did the wiring. I bought some plugs for this purpose. The black to connect the wiring to the car's (needs a little modification), the red to connect the existing contact of the front seats and the brown for the rear seats USB.

Image

The black plug (female) needs a bit of cutting to get the male red plug in. Please see the photo below:
Image

And this is the wiring
Image

Each plug has 4 pins. Connect 1 to 1, 2 to 2 and 3 to 3 to all plugs.
No4 only needs to be connected from the black female to the red male. The new USBs that we will put back do not need to be connected to No.4
Image

This is the result of the preparation.
Image

Installation:

Some plastic parts need to be removed.
The right side panel of the central console.
Image

The rear plastic (along with the air ducts) of the central console.
Image

Looking from below you can see the plug of the front USB ports. It's the red one with the 4 wires.
Image

It must be removed to make the new wiring. It's a bit difficult because of the limited space. A small tool with a turned nose that I had helped me a lot. If someone doesn't have it, he can make something similar with a thick wire
Image

With this tool one can press the plug button to unclip and come out.
Image
Image

Time to wire. We need to run the new wiring through the center console and bring it to the back. A plastic fish tape wire puller helped me with this.
Image
Image
Image

Then we connect our new wiring to the red plug, arrange the connection (I also put some soft material) so that it does not knock and make noise.
Image
Image
Image
Image

The side panel can go into place, we're done with that.

USB ports installation

This is the plastic we removed from the back side. We need to remove the part that is the ashtray and replace it with the USB base
Image
Image

With a plastic tool or a small screwdriver, press the plastic pins (there are 4) and the ashtray comes out easily.press the plastic sheets (there are 4) and the ashtray comes out easily.
Image

In the opening created, put the plastic with the USBs and make sure it clicks correctly.
Image
Image
Image

We connect the brown plug in place and fasten all the plastic to the center console.
Image
Image

We are done!!!

Now we can enjoy our new USB ports.

Hello, again.
I am thinking seriously to add footwell lights (front and rear). I am searching for the retrofit option and still gathering information.
The Octavia is based on the MQB EVO platform (like Golf8).

Image

So i need the hardware (wiring and lights) and the coding (adaptations, etc.)

The lights are controlled by the BCM with a LIN connection and are specific to this model.

Image
this photo is not mine, it belongs to a guy from a Russian site named KUR6UN (https://www.drive2.ru/l/611346608059065510/)

There are 4 lights (each one for a specific place) with the codes:
5E3947415
5E3947415A
5E3947415B
5E3947415C

I have bought the first two (for the front seats).
I am making the wiring right now.
The schematic
Image

So there is a need for Pin 29 from the T73c connector and Pin70 from the same connector (T73c)

My BCM:
Image

OK, pins are already exists, that's good (we have seen and read a lot about missing pins from various versions of BCMs)

The connector (from my car)
Image

So far so good. Looks like I'll need to put a wire on pin 29 and splice from pin 70 a wire for current.
And that's exactly where I'm at so far. I haven't made the connection, I'm making the wiring.

My big concern is about adaptation. I haven't found anything similar so far for the Octavia, but only for the Golf8

This is the link

https://www.motor-talk.de/forum/golf-8- ... 84946.html

So at this point any information for adaptation or something like that, it could be very useful.

Today i was try to change the front speakers.
I was faced with a strange situation.
The subject of the positive and negative pole of the speaker.
In photo 1 is the electrical diagram, in the photo is the real situation.

Photo 1
Image

Photo 2
Image

it seems that there is a reverse connection from the factory. Unless the marking of the poles on the speaker is wrong.
I can't figure out what's going on.

Yes that's right. But in the scheme the Red is for Plus (+), in my car it is connected to the minus (-) of the speaker.
