Well my GTI steering wheel arrived! Was in very dirty and grubby and condition. It was a real bargain!

The red stitching was pretty much non-existent, so i used some of my bro's special cleaning liquid. Here's the results, very impressed!

Will be fitting after dinner. All it needs now is some leather cleaner and job done

Thanks mate It's now been put on, and im very pleased with it There is a slight bit of wear at the top, but what can you expect for a 10 year old wheel. I will look at putting a coat of something on it to try blacken it up, any suggestions?

There's bound to be some sort of leather treatment/restore thing you could use. It'll look really cool when its in. Nice subtle mod.

Used some meguiars leather cleaner looks alot better. Needs another couple of coats to re-moisturise the leather. Here's a quick pic

Looks nice dude, think mine is faded beyond repair, need to get another on at some point soon.
