Haha Edee is a little wrecker! She'd probably purposely crash the car! Lol
She came in the car with me the other day for a quick drive down the road. Ended up purched on my shoulder for a majority of the drive lol

Gotta hand it to my little polo. It loves to push my love to the limit!!

Just 5 days back on the road and he decides to test my love for him again
Didn't even wait a week! What a git!!

16.03.2012

Driving back from VW and go to put the car in 3rd and nothing, no gears what so ever, could flick the gearstick all over the place!

Had to cruise home in what ever gear it was in.

Nothing major. Just Gear Linkage. Ordered the part as soon as we got home.

"ive ordered it for you V, £300 plus VAT"
"whhaaaattt??? *bursts into tears*
"No. No. No. I'm kidding!! I'm kidding! It's only £50!!"
Ahhhh haaaaa what a joker my boy is! Jeez! Well not prepared to part with a large amoun of money on that car again anytime soon!

He made it up to me tho by giving me a ride on the back of his bike down to work, and then walking me home from work. Lol

17.03.2012

Jack got up and went into, and fitted and adjusted the new gear linkage perfectly, as well as had a play with the bighting point of my clutch.

Got back and told me to take it for a test drive.

It Feels Amazing!!! I don't think words can actually discribe!!
I've never had issues with the gear box or clutch before, but now everything is so smooth, and so easy.-- Like I didn't think anything could get better with the way it drives- But it feels now like a completly different car!!

Omg I could just keep going cos I'm
So chuffed, but I will stop now...

My mates ordered some bolts for me which should be arriving Tuesday and I'll get him to fit them hopefully some time in the week, so I'll have a proper update with pics soon :)

Glad it wasnt too serious Verity :) cheap fix and its working perfectly so you should be happy

When the gearbox has a serious problem its normally something that gradually gets worse so you get plenty of warning

That what I kept telling myself during the drive back home, to stop me from having a nurvous break down 'there was no grinding...no noises... no warning... it's got to be ok...It's been replaced once all ready, by the second owner.... It's got to be ok....He'll be ok!... Nothing bad....No noise....it'll all be fine....right?? Right?!?!!???'

Ha, iv been doing that everyday since ud. Noises suck lol.

Gona get my linkage changed aswell I think, does the linkage come with new bushes and all that you know? Does your gearstick move around loads in gear coz mine does alot. Is that the linkage being worn ya reckon?

Yeah if there is excessive movement in the gear stick then it will be the linkage but if yours is making grinding noises too it probably needs re-building

21.03.2012 - A Bit O' Cleaning

Decided as I've got the week off and as the weather is so nice, I'd go outside and have a play with the car.

Stuck some Tunap in which Jack got from VW for me.

Image

Ended up cleaning a few bits that don't normally get touched; in preparation for the big Detail in a few weeks.

Didn't have many cleaning tools to hand as everything up at the unit.
Just sprayed down with Auto Finesse Citrus Power, and agitated with a brush, then washed down.

Image

Used a tooth pick to get dirt out of the little nooks and crannies

Image

All clean :)

Roof   What these bits called? Guttering?

Rubbed all the bits of moss out that had been gathering up under the rubber under the strip

Again used Citrus Power and a brush.

Clean :)

Then a tad of Clay barring just to get rid of a few bits of very stubbin dirt.

Getting a few more jobs done this weekend hopefully :)
