So do I just plug the lead in and test the port and so on ?

Then is it best just to do a Auto-Scan ?

Is there any thing else worth doing as well ?

Cheers

I usually just check the ABS, Engine and instruments for codes mate. Yeah the lead should be 1 of 4 COM ports i think. Just make sure she is running ok. If there are any codes, write them down, then clear them and take it for another spin and see if they have come back. If they come back you could have an unseen problem.

Pluged the car in today found two faults

1 Fault Found:
18010 - Power Supply Terminal 30: Voltage too Low
P1602 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

1 Fault Found:
ABS Wheel speed sensor rear left (G46)
35-10 - - - Intermittent

I knew the abs was playing up as when someone sat back there the light would come on but when they got out and light went out.

Had my windscreen refitted yesterday, they found it was not put in right the 1st time and also some of the trim was not put back right, its looking much better as well now.

Also with the vagcom faults

1 Fault Found:
18010 - Power Supply Terminal 30: Voltage too Low
P1602 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

1 Fault Found:
ABS Wheel speed sensor rear left (G46)
35-10 - - - Intermittent

With the 1st fault is it just a matter of a wrong fuse ?

With the ABS is it best to just clear it then drive it and test it again ?

Cheers

sounds like an earth fault or the battery has been disconnected. Check your earths on the battery. Gear box and earth strap. It may have snapped as thats been known before!
