Brilliant! Think you'll love the feel of a big engine in a small car.

Re: New GTI
So I've not stopped looking at videos, pictures and write ups of the new gti while I wait 1000 weeks or whatever I was told and noticed that all the gti's that have the nav also have the button for voice control (bottom left on the discover media /nav. Ones that don't have 'nav' and instead have 'setup' as a button seem to have 'mute' to replace 'voice'. Is this wishful thinking that by just specing the nav and not the voice activation £185 means you get it included already? Or maybe all the ones I've seen are just speced out to the max to show what options you can have?
Thoughts anybody?

Re: New GTI
My humor is pretty bad I must apologise. I've been told it will possibly take between 18-22 weeks. I am not 25 till late August so happy to wait 4-5 months. Plus it gives me more time to save!Andy4791 wrote:How long a wait did they predict?Franklinavfc888 wrote:So I've not stopped looking at videos, pictures and write ups of the new gti while I wait 1000 weeks or whatever I was told and noticed that all the gti's that have the nav also have the button for voice control (bottom left on the discover media /nav. Re: New GTI
Received an update on the delivery of the car, now showing IN TRANSIT. Status went straight from Build week confirmed to in Transit.
Perhaps someone can advise, looking at my paperwork for the car the dealer has charged £185 for 12 months Road Tax.. have they overcharged, the manual car is listed at 139g/km so should be £130? Never thought anything of it at the time as I hadn't studied the tax bandings for the car and only just noticed

£130 is what i got charged for my Manual. So might be worth bringing up with the dealer why they've charged more.servicepoint wrote:Received an update on the delivery of the car, now showing IN TRANSIT. Status went straight from Build week confirmed to in Transit.![]()

Re: New GTI
I thought they included that in the price!? And yes it should be £130 if it is a manual.servicepoint wrote:Received an update on the delivery of the car, now showing IN TRANSIT. Status went straight from Build week confirmed to in Transit.![]()

Re: New GTI
Yes - the extra £55 is a new registration fee (https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-registration ... ations-fee), but normally tax for the manual is £130.

Polo GTI draws with Golf GTI in slalom race: http://youtu.be/WYh7sRrkrzc
Don't suppose anyone speaks Japanese to translate the bit at the end? The Polo driver missed one of the balloon by the look of it.

Re: New GTI
Ordered mine on the 28th January and all being well i should be getting my hand on it tomorrow! I'd of expected you to of at least got a build date by now, might be worth asking your dealer if they can tell you the build week its scheduled for. I got my build week about a week after placing the orderAndy4791 wrote:I see, mine order Feb 13th(as most on here will b sick of hearing lol) and still no build date.
