I would just like to wish you all the best with the sale of your car, and say what a wonderful build thread, offering polo GTI owners huge amounts of info for the various mods to their cars. Very well done!

Thanks dude.

Think it will take a while before it's sold as cars like this take time to sell and I'm in no rush so wont be taking any silly offers and will not be breaking it.

At worst I will just have to keep it if I don't get the money I'm after

Well that's make me feel better knowing I pay £1000 for me and my fiancée with an excess of £250.
Looks like being 29 and having full no claims bonus does help.

Haha, your a lucky man :) HIC wouldn't even give me a quote as they just couldn't insure me XD If the insurance was £2750 or under I was buying your car lol! But I now I know that I defiantly want to take mine to stage 3 :) So I now just need to finish paying off my car and save my ass off! Love your car so much...

Ive just noticed youve done the SAI, N249 and combi removal, was that easy? and where did you get the blanking plate from for the combi bit?

Yes it was easy but then things like that are for me.

Its as simple as undoing bolts nuts and taking suff out the engine bay.

I got the blank from Forge for ease but one could easily be made up if you have the metal laying around?

That's a shame.

How old are you and how many years no claims bonus do you have?

I thought it looked easy, was just checking before I accidentally muck up my engine XD So all youve got to do it put resistors in the end of the electrical connectors, put the blanking plate on the combi (did you take the stem out as well?) and run the dv off the manifold? thats it i think...
You get any codes pop up or had to get them mapped out?

It is a shame as I can afford your car, just Im not paying 5k for insurance lol
Well I am only 20 with 3 years no claims, I said to them that I was part of a car club, Ive done my extended driving lessons and added my dad as a named driver, im just too young :( But at least now I can built the exact polo I've been wanting :) I doubt the engine will be as good as yours though...
