I only had it on a few days and when it was wet I took it off to stop this but toooo late

I guess it will have to be painted but im worried it will be a different colour to the rest of the car :(

If you have a competent sprayer you should be fine, especially as you're paint isen't faded and you're going to be detailing ti anyway so it'll shine up very nicely..

Ouch matt. I would never have thought that much damage could of been done in such a short space of time!

I know you dont want to but there's nothing like a freshly painted bonnet, no stone chips etc...

I blame jesus.

Ha ah Phil you are pure dirt ;)

I think I am going to have to get it sprayed along with the door handles, mirrors and spoiler

On a brighter note I have sorted my brakes out. One of the sliders had rusted up so they are all free and greased now. However Driving the car, it still feels like I have lost a lot of power. Just isn't going well any more. I have VAG COMed the car and that gave nothing at all, well nothing of importance. I think I will start with the basics, throttle body clean, new plugs, fuel filter and possibly a new DIS module.

But whilst on the ramp at work I wound the front coils down a little so it is sitting a little flatter. I am about half a cm from the bottom on the front and i am thinking of just putting it right down. Its still no were near stupid low. Pleased that it is sitting better though.

I have 2 weeks of Uni final exams now so after that the car will get a lot of love as I will officially be a bum :D

I have noticed a slight lack of power from mine recently too, obviously cars don't run AS well in rainy humid conditions like recently and i have been running mine on 95 supermarket fuel

I have noticed that the car bra's are doing this a lot to any car if they are left on in the wet. I sold mine after seeing my brothers paintwork go funny after he had left his on for a few days.

I would rather get the odd stone chip on the bonnet rather than having the paint react.

Unlucky Matt, I feel gutted for you :-(
I've had mine off for the last few weeks only just put it back on 2day but now I've seem that I don't think I'll use it again :-(

Hopefully you'll get it sorted once your exams are over

Thanks man, I think its purely due to the shear number of stone chips on my paint :(

On a brighter note.... Pressed plates at last :D but not going on for a month until i move home as at my student residence they will get bashed.

Also received a nice a nice Canon 600D with a few lenses for my 21st so hopefully there will be some nicer pictures to complement the polo instead of these iPhone ones :D
