Managed to find this while digging for info on Grand Orion (Onion), looks like it’s due in Sheerness on the 20th July.

There has always been intense rivalry between Hull and Grimsby going back to the heyday of the fishing industry.....

Spoke to the sale team at my local Dealership today. The car I posted in the pics thread ^^ is in the showroom and available there. Polo GTI + in Black with Art Velours seats, grey dash pad and Brescias.

May be useful info for anyone who doesn’t want to wait Months for a factory order..

Grand Orion is making good progress and it’s ETA for Sheerness has been brought forward to the 19/07 and Killingholme is the 21st.

Is the arrival of the Grand Orion at any UK ports relevant for you or any of us with a BW23 car? It's got to go to Gernany (Emden to go to Wolfsburg?) first to drop the cars off for final Quality checks and then get from Germany to the UK (presumably to Tyne, Grimsby or Sheerness, the usual VW served UK ports).

Are you sure that is correct, two previous ships went direct to the UK?

Also ships have dropped off cars at Vigo, Zeebrugge and African ports without checks at Emden
