The speedo is still electronic so they shall have an over-read of an amount determined by the oem, but they should all be about the same.
Some cars just over-read by a fixed 8mph (they start at 10mph) , and others by 8 - 10%.
You can tell its electronic.... The drive is just a pulse from the transmission, consequently it doesn't know which direction its going, so it reads in reverse!!!!
-> new thread, what is the highest speed you can get in reverse!
How fast have you got your car
Why not use a speed camera, that will be calibrated, and conveniently they will send you a photo too which you can post on here as evidence!!!ModifiedMadness wrote:Basically all of the speeds people have posted are Speedo Indicated.
They could be out as much as 10 maybe 20mph including mine, unless we have some sort of calibrated measuring device in the car we won't know the actual speed.
Sorry you asked for that (:

You can request proof that it was you, then they will send you the picture.
I worked with a guy who got caught and asked to see the pic, he said "I couldn't contest it because you could see me and Sheila sitting there quite merrily"
Only thing is JWC, I'd lose my licence as well.
Would be good though
