All the relay is doing is sending a signal to the unit to tell it to roll the windows up. You can't really get the wiring wrong if you've bought the right relay... it's crystal clear mate.

The car opens fine but when it locks I get 6 'bong' sounds from the front of the car and several dashboard lights on but faded. Also the windows do not roll-up

I had a similar problem as I misinterpreted the instructions. You need to connect them both to the positive red wire to give it a 12v supply.

On a sidenote, I've just left my Polo key with a local key cutting place to have the blades cut and they've supplied and programmed a Philips TPH1 transponder. All being well, I'll have a pair of working flip keys later today
Hence the reason why I'm trying to get the window rollup to work

I got all the stuff out the box and took the cl pump out of boot but don't have the balls to do it myself having never done anything electrical before. My mates dad is a sparky so hopefully if i ask nicely he'll do it for me. I didn't realise the key wouldn't work automatically, and like f9hard i also only have one key when I brought my polo so will need to get my keys cut and find two transponders. Installed my Rclick on Sunday, am so chuffed with the result! Next step in getting the keys cut and getting a transponder/immobilizer chip installed. Does anyone know a nationwide company that will do it? Or someone in London area?
