just ordered my led daytime running lights today, from vw in bury they are on order and may take 7-10 working days to get them.total cost inc fitting £457.00.
i am going to ring vw uk and complain though i rang my local vw in wigan ,total cost inc fitting £643.60,and out of curiosity i rang vw bolton they want £511.72 all in.all vw garages but 3 different prices.
vw bury-£457.00
vw bolton-£511.72
vw wigan- £643.60
there is a big difference in price.

They will quote ridiculous prices at first, in an attempt to put people off cause I don't think any dealer is going to be happy about carving bumpers. Personally I love these and i've gone right to the wire persuing them, but there's not a chance in hell i'm parting with £500 for these. They originally said these were a fairly priced option for the people who didn't want to part for the Bi-Xenons. But in comparison, the Bi-Xenon option you get a lot more bang for your buck than these.

I'm going to contact Hella and get some new headlight units with LED DRL's in.

Thats pretty dear from what I first thought they would be. IMO getting the proper Xexon headlights with the DRLs would be a much better option as they are OEM and arent much dearer :)

I've been in contact with my local dealer and I've filed a complaint about the pricing model for these. The manager is going to get back to me at some point today hopefully, but he's reluctant about any changes being made to how the pricing is structured, granted it is a 3 hour job to fit them.

It's not 12 bulbs, it's 22 per side.

£600/44 = £13.36/Bulb

Your calculations are bad ;)

I thought it was ment to be a simple swap Of the panel around the fog lights

I can't say I'm surprised at the costs though

The after market headlights just alter the side light behaviour to light LEDs I'm not sure it will work on the polo you may just end up having headlights on all the time as well as LEDs
