I've just bought myself some of these Borbet T's

Image

There 15x7 and I'm unsure what tyres to run...
I'm thinking 195/45s OR 175/50s to give them a slight stretch for when I get some spacers.

Any recommendations of makes of tyres best for stretching or even recommendations for different sizes to stretch?

I won't be racing around anywhere so don't want top of the range but I do want decent grip so I'm thinking mid range like £50-65?
Toyo t1rs could be good tho :-)

The mid ranges don't tend to stretch too well and if they do look a bit silly due to more pliable side walls. For instance nankangs give an odd c shape from the side wall where they curve over rather than a traditional diagonal line from the wheel.

I think you could probably pick up some galleons for that budget though

Borbets turned up 2day :-D

Just had to roll them in front of the standard rx2's before they get sent off for a refurb and some new smaller tyres

Image

They look huge!! Definitely need smaller tyres!

195/45 uniroyal rainsport...

Any comments on choice of tyre?

Faster? :-/ how? Lol

Yeh I'm toying with the idea of colour coding and maybe smoothing into the bumper when I get bump strip smoothed.

Just ordered myself a K&N Typhoon kit from eBay after Trotta convinced me they look so much better in the bay :-)

Got hold of another drinks holder too...

Also been to VW to price up loads and order few things from the list...
All Honeycombe grills for when new bumper goes on looks a bit fresher
Little plastic caps fro the top of the front strut (maybe paint red)
Engine coolant
Screen wash
And a new pollen filter all to be picked up this week.

They've finally started to give me discount! :-D bout time as I'm there like every week, without fail! Lol
(nothing great mind)

Another few things from the list next week I think :-)
