I have installed the 1 touch indicators "komfort blinker" on my polo as well, also ranks high in the top mods for me, its took me a week or so to get used to it but now its like second nature to just tap the stalk.

I am liking your OEM+ mods, cant wait to what comes along next 8)

Another Saturday spend pissing about on the car!!!

Washed it first thing before it pissed it down with rain!

Then i decided to fit the 3 flash indicator Module! - That was a pain in the arse for me because of my stereo! (Took just over 2 Hours!)

Problem was getting all the stereo back in.

This was all the wires i was dealing with

Image

Anyway got all that fitted and working well!

Next thing was to get the OZ's back on. Now the MOT guy told me to watch the wiring loom on the back of the sump as it had been scrubbing on the drive shaft. So i thought i better take a look at it.

Getting to this without a ramp was a pain in the arse. And that engine tray is a pain too!! Why did VW feel the need to run wires so close to the drive shaft?

I unclipped it out the plastic conduit that ran along the side of the sump . By this stage i was covered in s**t!

Image

Then the only place or thing i could think to cable tie it to was the dipstick neck at the bottom where it goes into the sump like so...

Image

THIS IS ADVICE FOR ANYONE ELSE THAT IS LOW CHECK THE LOOM DOWN THERE...

looks like the wires go to the alternator and air-con...

Got the gearbox out again!!

The release bearing gave up after 5,000 miles!! Apparently it has twisted on the shaft and has now gone all rusty! thats why the pedal has been really heavy and it rattles on tickover!!

Oh i love GTI gearboxes!!!!

Just ordered all new discs and pads all round! They are all shagged one of the discs is warped ATM!

Ans I'm doing that horrible tedious job of polishing the OZ's!! Its properly the worst job ever!!

Turn the part that joins to the glass anti clockwise and pull it off mate. The stem I mean as most ppl try and pull the mirror off the ball and socket bit. You need to spray the mirror and stem..

Be warned though many have removed and cracked there windscreen lol, so gentley does it mate. Makes the front of the car look better and clean. No big white thing in your face..
