About 10-15 miles as the crow flies.. not much of a trek
I was thinking of going there from cambridge (ish) via central london, so it can't be that far out of the way
..although, I thank my stars I don't have to make that trip anymore, I hate driving in london... so stressful, and I always p*** people off and get horrendously lost..

Nah, london just stresses me out.. I spend too much time concentrating on where I'm trying to get to (no useful signs whatsoever the moment you get within the M25..) and too little time thinking about little things like, for example, staying in my lane, stopping for red lights, not crashing into the car in front.. it's like I'm a learner again on my first lesson without anyone supervising, just not a fun experience
Jeez, I must be an odd one, I love driving to places I don't know, it's like a mini adverture...er..yet I drive a Polo!
No, seriously, I find it full driving to places I've not been to, it's like an unexplored place for me and my Polo, thats why I'm so looking forward to Worthersee!
I guess each man to their own!

Oh don't get me wrong, I love driving round new places, but I'm much more a country lane explorer than a city streets person.. I live in the country, biggest place I went when I was learning to drive is bishops stortford which is hardly a big place and I know it quite well.. I just can't handle the hussle of cities.. everyone trying to get where they want to go as fast as possible and me feeling like a lemon holding everyone up by pottering along being lost..

Wrong side of london for me I'm afraid.. if you're trying to find places I'd suggest www.multimap.com is a good place to look
