Our GTI arrived at the dealers yesterday, unannounced.
Dealer emailed a short video showing us the car inside and out in all its protective wrapping. Going in on Friday for a look and collection on Monday.

U ordered march I remember and have car nearly. Mine not got build date yet lol. Just my luck lol

Mine arrived today at the dealer.
Apparentely there have been some issues with delays here in Portugal too. I got word people that ordered before me are still waiting for a build date confirmation, some of the factories have been having issues.

Just out of curiosity, did you get a 3 or 5 door Polo servicepoint?

I think the 5 door models are taking longer.

My GTI is due to arrive late July. However, it's a lease car done through work, so they won't actually let me get it until my old lease expires in mid September! So it's going to be sat around for 6 weeks...I hope the battery doesn't go flat.

It's a 5dr we ordered.

Just a question did anyone get the VW App connect package with there car?

I did yes, although I'm not sure it's going to work with my iPhone.

I have recently added it to my order, which was only placed a few weeks back. However looking at the sat nav info on VW website it states that it now comes with car net online services... so assuming that may possibly be the same thing?

Anymore pics or vids from those who have just received their new GTI? Interior shots would be good. How does the engine feel/sound in comparison to the previous 6r GTI?

I have the mirror link system in my GTI. Haven't bothered with it until today. It finds my android phone then cancels the connection. With cup of tea in hand and after a bit of research I'm going for another fiddle.

I haven't tried it in mine yet but if it's anything like the Bluetooth I'm not going to have much joy with my current phone.

My phone is fine and works like a dream. The mirror link is proving to be a problem. I've changed cables, gone through the manual but while it finds my phone straight away it then says 'cancelling connection, ok'. No it's not ok you pile of .....

Just can't get mirror link to work.
It did say 'starting mirror link' once then said connection cancelled. It says no USB connection at times but it manages to find my phone while wired and says reading USB but then cancels.

I've just had a quick try with the mirror link in mine and my phone connected first time lol

Obviously no point to it if you can't even use anything while driving, I mean even just some basic controls

The mirror link head unit I had in my 9n3 was miles better.

I think it only sorta works with the htc m8. VW is now phasing it out in favour of app connect that can handle more phones.

I still think the new full android system coming out in sone new cars is miles better. Proper integration, voice to text, maps on the screen and lollipop interface

Pretty crap and limited use.
At first it appeared that most Samsung phones would work , from what I read the S5 has compatibility but the S5 mini , which I have, does not.

Looks like an os update due this year for the phone is my only hope until upgrade time.
Bit cynical of VW to just take my order and not highlight issues, leaving me to play detective.
