Black Polo GTI 6 Speed. 390 BHP Build
Re: Black Polo GTI 6 Speed. 320BHP. Question page 41. Help
Hi, just to update you on my session with Bill, Badger5. Well he used the guts of your map with obvious mods as I am still on KO3s and standard injectors. He spent several hours fine tuning the map to my car with an end result that I am very happy with. All the 112, 249, SAI mapped out and a final figure of, 233 bhp, 270ft lb torque. And the proof was in the drive, the best it has ever been, strong, linear all the way to the red line. Very pleased. Thanks for you help.

If you had some kind of induction kit it would be even better figures...!

I cant decide where to go, R-tech or Badger :/

I cant recommend Bill highly enough, he is the 18T man. Have on order Jabba sports cone in a box, should do the trick, same airbox as Mk 1 Fabia VRS.

Re: Black Polo GTI 6 Speed. 320BHP. Question page 41. Help
I was going to do the cone in a box and get the 90 degree silicone pipe as well but i've heard lots of peeps say its not as good as a cone filter :/ any evidence for either one being better or same power?
I think I will probably go to bill aha
does he do launch control by any chance...?

I cant remember where i saw it but the was a thread where someone tried many different intakes and the best figures came from the cone in the box with the 90 degree elbow?Mr Blobby wrote:I was going to do the cone in a box and get the 90 degree silicone pipe as well but i've heard lots of peeps say its not as good as a cone filter :/ any evidence for either one being better or same power?

I know R-Tech do launch control not sure if Bill does you'll have to ask him.

Got these today. Only a small change but I'm fed up of seeing the dirty marks on the blue ones that come with the car.
Only £8.50 each too

233Hp are nice figures, what boost are you running?
ps: CAI, another filter or whatever will not change HP figures by much.
if it changes it is due to the fact that the filter itself passes more air as the one you have now so if you will gain any HP, it won't be much and it won't be noticeable
turbo cars have their own atmosphere and because they have an intercooler, intake temp is pretty low by itself (if you have a good cooler that is).
just a note on the side...

Ok so things have got a move on now.
Brembo's sold to Mr Blobby on here.
And couldn't bring myself to return back to single pot calipers using 312's so found a set of 6 pot Tarox caplipers from a VR6. Best thing about this set up from the VR6 is the caliper brackets are spaced 6mm further back than other set ups from the likes of Mk4 golf TT etc. so bolts up and clear my new wheels.
I have on order a set of Tarox floating discs (305mmx26mm) so just need to get the bells spaced back by 4mm to centre the disc in the caliper and some new Tarox Corsa pads and all should be good.
I will also be sending the caliper off for painting but thinking of going black instead of the usual red.
I also fitted my black caps.
Here are a couple of pics

This pic is with the wheel and calipers all bolted up. The car is still jacked up so once on the floor it will pull the wheel in as they are ET33
