Re: Endi_GTI's GTI: Here comes summer
DC2's are alright but the DC5 is the supreme Type R
K20 engine just kills the B18's & B16's
EK9's are crazy little machines, probably the best Type R ever made pound for pound, although the B16B engines are a little flat after 65mph.

The manifold and Polo will be staying with me until I perish as a very old man
Sorry to disappoint
However a DC2 may be coming along the way one day

Re: Endi_GTI's GTI: Here comes summer
Hopefully soon Ben. Moving home from uni soon and starting work at the garage again so I should have some more money and more updates coming. The bloody KTM is taking a lot of time and work but once my test is done I will be getting lit on the roads on that
Re: Endi_GTI's GTI: Here comes summer
Forget the KTM! Get the manifold fitted and stop hugging it in bed! Don't forget to clean it out like we all said on Monday

Re: Endi_GTI's GTI: Door Cards
So with hardly any money and so much to do on the bodywork of the car I have decided to just concentrate on the interior and finish it off. I have finally got my hands on a set of red door cards which Pmk4 and I cleaned up last night. They have come up quite well with a bit of AG's interior shampoo and a steam cleaner. The next thing to get is some of the black/red striped eat belts to go with the red/black theme. Door cards to be fitted soon:

Also in regards to the 1.0E I am going on a road trip so to make the most of all 50 ponies she has been race prepped

Cheers Ben,
Yeah she is still going strong. Pretty hard to handle now when you let all those gg's loose. Dad uses it most of the time as a run around but i use it occasionally to save some wear on the gti

Bit like me using my dad's Polo TDI, awesome little car despite the lack of power

Re: Endi_GTI's GTI: Door Cards
Yeah hopefully Ben. I think I have decided on Anthracite but its just getting funds together at the moment. Ever since finishing uni I have been living the dream a bit so haven't been earning a lot. Just come back from sailing in the med for 10 days.
Bit of an update:
Service including oil change, brake bleed and new pads (G60 discs to follow)
Whilst on the ramp at work I wound the front of the RSX coilovers to the floor and its not to bad actually. Its not silly low but looks a bit more raked now. Pictures explain much better:

Had to jack it of the ramp though

The Toyo's have also taken a pounding on the front after 7,000 ish miles. Think I take the Spax's to hard on it sometime
Rails ftw

Haha well Luke at least mines sticks like rails round the corners
Not too into the whole slammed look anyway but a little more wouldn't hurt.
Yeah Cheers Ben. We still put it through the MOT with the fronts like that. I am running a slight bit a negative camber as well so it will hoon through the corners haha
