Great job with the relays, quick question, since the passengers side air bag is gon are yoing to convert that into an opening hatch/glove compartment?

No, it stays closed, that gives me a lot of space behind it to for instance place my relais and such.

I'll try to make you some pics of the shims this week m8 and get them up here, so you can see what they're like and how they "work"

Also got my mind sorted out on the rear BBS RS001's, they're going 8J wide, with Nankang 185/45/15's, will give some strech, not to much, will be able to tuck it in good enough, and maybe get those camber-shims on too to get them more tucked in. Plus 185 does look nice and wide when looking at the car from behind, so will look a bit more "bad ass" on the highway and Autobahn then the 165/50/15's I had in mind first

Will probably look reel sweet you seem to have some experience in BBS RS's so I'll just ask some questions about your setup, u gonna go 8" all around right? read about the camber shims which will give some clearence, but have you done some arch-work? got myself a set of RS070's this week and thinking about modding them, but they've got a lower ET then the RS001's, so I thought I'd ask you since you got some experience and all

I dont really understand what your real question is m8?

I am going for 7 J up front, ET 25, 8J in the back, resulting in about ET 0. I did have the little lip in the rear arches rolled and smoothed to the max for clearance, not sure if going to install the shims thoug, first going to run it without.

Little update again, got a lot further on the electronics, still a lot of work in it in rerouting the wiring and getting them all on the proper lenght since I want it all to be as deep in the dash as possible and tightly mounted.

Also got the RS´ innerdishes, centres and caps chemically unlackered, so now they´re tip top ready for fresh paint

Hi there jarno, just been reading all the progress has taken me about an hour +! and must say you have put a hell of work and money into this. Love it. Have given me some ideas too! Just wondering where you got the polyurethan bushes from? Would be good to get some of these. Are they for front and rear and is there any problems fitting them to mk4 polo?

Scored me a set of polyurethan bushing from Bonrath again, now for the rear-shocks, on the mounts on the chassis. These were the last bushing I needed to convert to polyurethan ones

Also with this, guessing it is an ecu? If it is what advantages can you get?

@ Jezza: I've poly-bushings all around from Bonrath. They make them for both mounts of the front wishbone's, the topmounts of the front shocks, the front stabilizer (personally haven't got these since it won't fit with my 23mm Eibach stabilizer), the rear top-mounts (as seen in your reply) and the rearaxle mounts.

Bonrath is not widely available, but surely high quality, in my opinion better then the overprized Powerflex items. Scored my sets on a German carshow (Motorshow Essen) at the Bonrath stand. Try search Ebay, thought I saw a set for the front stabilizer for sale on there for couple quid from Venom.

And yes, that's an ECU, on you can completely programm yourself, you can find the spec's on it here -> http://kms.vankronenburg.nl/products_ecu.html
With this I can easily run my Honda ITB's on the AEE, without hasseling with the original VW ECU, which won't work perfectly with the Honda ITB's. Also since it's fully programmable, it can be set for max performance, like chip-tuning it with your laptop

That sounds like it could be great fun. Will have a look for some. Powerflex dont do them for my car unfortunatly. I currently have kyb which are good but would like the poly urethen ones. Cheers!!!!

Well, much news from here, got the controls for the new rear-airride-set-up almost complete, just need to hook up the buttons in the dash. Also had my ITB's brought over to the welder together with a spare head I've had lying around, he's gonna make me a nice inletmanifold + adapters for filter and some airhorns/trumpets.
Also did some more work on the boot-install this afternoon, made me this nice piece of MDF, looks like a cheese with all those holes



4 big holes, with thread on the bottom side



Piece of MDF in place, not moving anymore as you can guess with all them screws, anyone got an idea yet what it is for?



Alright, little hint here



If you haven't guessed already, it's the original batterie-plate, which is now in place (and solidly mounted) in the boot, battery will go from under the bonnet to the back, looks better:



Going to have another go right now, hopefully I can hook up the airride controls for the front axle before hitting the pub!

Oh yeah, almost forgot, picked up this little fellar last week:



Now I can let the Scrick cam stay in the ADX engine, and just transplant that into the daily mk2 Polo. And I can rebuild the AEE I'm working on without having to swap parts between engines

And hooked up the airride for the frontaxle too after dinner, well almost, at least all the electronics in the boot are now done
