Yes, I will, but it's only arriving at the dealers today (snow permitting!), so I won't be collecting it until Monday afternoon now :( All the bits & pieces (bulbs, mats, spacers, etc.) are lined up in the garage waiting to be fitted the moment I get it home

Are you sure you can get it monday? My guess would be that he needed to prep it first... It doesn't come ready to deliver from the factory. :)

The car actually arrived yesterday afternoon. Saw it this afternoon. They are prepping it Monday morning for me to collect around 3pm.

Nearly had a heart attack when I saw it - I thought they'd forgotten the sunroof, but it was just the white plastic protective covering

Sorry for hijacking Ciclo's thread. I didn't think this teaser pic was worthy of a new thread. I will post more/better photos next week.

Looks great Frog. :P

I think your gonna be real happy with it. :)
And now you can't say you havn't seen a BlueGT in real life anymore. :D

It really is a great car. Nice and quick. And gets excellent milage. All it takes is for the driver to use a few simple eco driving tips and you'll visit the gas station a lot les than you are use to.

Yes, it's nice to finally see a Blue GT in person! The interior looks really nice, but the doors were locked, so I couldn't have a good poke around :( One thing the salesman and I agreed on; the wheels look very nice but not too big, almost as if all Polos should have 17". That said, the TSI next to it had 15" wheels and they looked too small. Glad I have already got some 10mm H&R spacers for the rear ready to fit, because the back wheels definitely look 'pushed in'.

Really looking forward to driving it. I have owned nearly 30 cars in my lifetime from a Daewoo Matiz ( ) to a Jaguar XKR ( 8) ), and I reckon this Polo will be the perfect compromise: a mini GTI disguised to look like a sales rep's 70hp TDI. A wolf in sheep's clothing

TheFrog, thank you very much for keeping us informed and I am delighted that you do in my thread.
A good scare with electric sunroof ... those little things that make your hair stand on end ...Image
When you next see your BlueGT the wheels look bigger, still need to remove the protective shock absorber for transport.

Yellow plastic.
Next week we see your clean and shiny new toy. I look forward to.

hello ciclo
I saw, using google, you managed to install the mirrors with power folding. I have some questions
1) how many cables you have to be on every mirror?
2) there is a method to risconoscerli some photos? (I found the mirrors that the seller declares bend electric but I would not be sure)
3) where you found the pieces? because in the dealership does not make me order the window lift because they say that not having as standard can not proceed with the order that must be done at the factory
I hope for your help
greetings andrea

ps sorry for my English but do not speak it at all well

It is evident that "Coming Home" fully automatic is not possible in Polo 6R.

Sport rear springs

Factory measures
Image

Looking for a balance between performance, "comfort" and aesthetics.

My R-line: (without sport chassis -15mm)

Front Axle from factory
L: 355mm
R: 355mm
Rear Axle from factory. Basic rear springs. 6Q0511115CD PR-1JP+0YE
L: 375mm
R: 375mm

The height of the rear axle is horrendous.

Image

With Eibach Pro Kit (for tests)

Eibach Pro Kit Front Axle
L: 330mm
R: 330mm
Eibach Pro kit Rear Axle
L:345mm
R:345mm

Good performance, but my front bumper slashing on the unusually big ramp (hill) of my garage.
I removed and sold it.

And finally and my selected option:

Front Axle from factory.
L: 355mm
R: 355mm
Rear Axle. Sport rear springs. 6Q0511115CK PR-1JS+0YE
L: 360mm
R: 360mm

Lowered -15mm rear axle.
Improves performance of the rear axle, It is very noticeable.

Image

I'm very satisfied with this configuration of springs. Above all it is comfortable.🛏

Many polo 6R can activate "Coming Home" regardless of whether they can or can not install the automatic lights OEM.

Coming Home OEM in the polo 6R no works automatically, once activated by VCDS, it only works through the stalk of lights on the steering column by pulling from it once with the key removed from the ignition. (ignition off)
http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... 09#p478727

The gift is for first person that can get activate Coming Home with VCDS to the removing the ignition key, without be needed pulling the stalk of lights. That easy.

A different issue is that your polo 6R can not install the automatic lights OEM, but you win a kit valued at 110 euros.
The present is not exchangeable for the money, you can sell the Kit later.

For example:
In the POLO 6C can be done in adaptation of the BCM.
