Thanks a lot Michel! a very thorough review. Many functions to be a PQ25.
In essence it works the same as for our Golf Mk7.5. Including that the voice control does the same nonsense, it does not understand us in Spanish or English, we end up being defeated by the machine. We even run competitions to see who is able to enter a full address by voice.
Logically in our Golf 7.5 all the menus work, although the same thing happens with the bluetooth symbol in the IC (AID), it is missing, and I miss it.
If you are ever lucky enough to have an MQB or higher you will like the settings for the Driving Assistants.

The updating of maps can be done on the VW website, Maps Update.
You don't need to download the Discovercare program, or have an Original VW SD card.

Info on the heated steering wheel:

The slip ring is in! It's the 5Q0953569B that is a bolt on upgrade to the current slip ring (remember: Polo AW stalks with Polo 6C clip ring).



Small modification:



The wiring is not very difficult either, just used factory positions:

T14 (black) = 5Q0972726
T14/1 = positive for the heating
T14/8 = negative for heating

T14/2 = +15 contact for MFSW
T14/4 = GND for MFSW
T14/14 = LIN for MFSW

T4 (yellow) = 4H0972133
T4/1 = airbag from T16/5
T14/2 = airbag from T16/6

All working:



Heating will probably work too
