I just dont get how
Did you get any pics while you were doing it Howard?
I just cant get my head around what you have to do

It's simple mate,
Look at the above pic that Howard has posted of the exposed metal rod.
Just get some pliers and cut that off, then put the pins back on, done job.
It is a good idea however to measure the length you need to cut though.
I'll pay you £5 if you come up to pboro to do it for me

Haha

Its a piece of cake mate. Same as Tim , I just used some pliers, cut away a couple of mm at a time until you get the height you want.
Fitted my HID's this morning. Looking crisp
I'll get some pics up once the weather sorts itself out

Yeah they look 10x better. Didn't realise they were so easy to fit. Tempted to do my fogs aswell.
When you do them cut a bit off then screw the door pin back down then test (lock/unlock), then take it off and cut another bit and so on. Well thats how I did it and was able to get them all the same height.
It another one of them tiny touches that makes the car look that little bit better, well when locked!

Dont do your fogs mate. They will melt the casing!!
I already had that idea, but i never use them anyway
Thanks for the advice Tim and Howard. Looking forward to doing it now

Looks nice and tidy mate. I need to tidy my engine bay up.....along with every other job i havent finished on my car
Don't SE's have engine covers like mine? I thought the Polos with that engine were the spec below mine? Then the 75bhp SE then 100bhp SE then the GTi? Or am i completely mistaken ?

I was only joking mate! I love my 60Bhp beast!
Thats how I had to do my HID's, running in and out! Took twice as long because of the rain.

I've took some quick snaps of my HID's. Nothing special as raining but will do some better photo's soon.
This is one with just the LED sidelights on
Now LED's and fogs
And here's a couple with the HID's on and I think leveled correctly.
