Not sure if im going for coilovers or springs, all depends on money, which i have none of :P Doing a few attempts at swapping the wheels but not too bothered.

oh right. In my personal opnion i like dar coloured alloys on a brighter coloured car, or on a black car. but just wanted to see what your car would look like when its lowered with the alloys. Might actually look good. it does transform ur cars look though.

Car is going to look so much better when lowered :) and BBS FTW!!
Did you get those lowering springs off ebay? When you have fitted them, can you give an update on how the car feels to drive etc, because I have been wanting to get some lowering springs for a while but just don't have a clue on what to get lol! :D

Car is looking good though, love the wheels, are you going to get centre caps for them? :)

FlashRed wrote:Hi,

Just read this entire thread in one and I think your polo has turned out really well. Very glad you ditched those lexus lights (I think they look plain wrong) and I wasn't a fan of the old alloys or chrome grill strips either. But I'm really liking the 'dark' theme (black headlights, smoked tail lights, and smoked side repeaters, as well as dark grey alloys) and everything else really. The only thing I'm not too keen on is the tailpipe. It's a little OTT in my opinion but I can look past it! Would love to know what it sounds like with that exhaust. I bet it sounds a little different to my '99 1.0L!! I've just joined this forum after finding a link to it randomly, looks pretty good so far. Your mods have inspired me to change something with my polo, which is currently blessed with one 'modification' consisting of hub cabs from a golf. Although the previous owner did add several parking dents but I don't think they really count. Although to be honest I'm not looking to do much to mine, it will stay as a pretty standard example.

Good luck with the car!

Thanks mate. yeah not sure why i bought those lights in the first place :P. It does sound a bit different to standard lol. Next on the list in lowering. Glad you like it. Those old alloys were on it when i bought it for some reason and flogged them for £30 lol. Cant beat a polo ;) it wont let you down. And welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the welcome :) . I'm a massive fan of the tax disc holder! Speaking of inherited alloys I've got a set of alloys I got with my car that I don't want, if anyone is in the market for a set of wolfrace alloys let me know! I'm loving my polo so far, never misses a beat even though it's a little lumpy on very cold mornings! Looking forward to seeing how your car progresses, will keep an eye on it!

Cheers mate.

Been having a few random problems with the polo recenlty, i.e. the wipers fu**ing up and random stalls. But the stalls have onlt happened once. The polo alsways gives the goods where it counts ;)
