Good little upgrades these, definately freshen up the lighting of the car and add alittle modernisation to them.

Just put in all new LED bulbs, will get some pics later when its dark :)

Only problem I had, was when putting in the right sidelight bulb, i noticed the rear of the headlight was broken :( need to get a new headlight, another £25/30!

loving the progress on this! just a quick question about the Rclick, is it hooked up to your boot aswell (the alarm and the central locking)?
and the kit you have (AL60 iirc) isit a central locking kit with an alarm too? i will probably order the same kit as you if so! :D

but i think i will get it fitted professionally, im good with spanners and all that, but dont have a clue when it comes to car electrics, did my speakers and fitted a cathode kit to my bros car, but i think the CL and alarm is a bit out of my capability

Its not hooked up to the boot at present, but I plan on looping the alarm into it. The CL on the boot is rather complex as itd have to be a popper rather than an actual lock mechanism...though its being looked into.

And yes I think it is. its the only kit they do with the CL and alarm together.

If your not too clued up, its best to seek pro advice on it, as you can make a right mess very quickly!

yeh i thought so about the boot, couldn't see how the CL kit could open the lock mechanism, but i think il get the alarm hooked up to it,

i emailed rclick with what i required and they just sent me 3 links: 1 to the page with all the alarms, another to the page with all the RCL kits and another to the page with the keys
so not much help lol

but mines seems to be the same spec as gregs, 3door poverty spec

cheers for ur help again Alex :)

Re: Silver Polo Progress Thread - New headlight and horn

Post by gregperkins »

Minor update:

Had the front bumper off today to replace my right headlight and to swap my old crappy horn for a twin tone horn 8)

All went well, horn sounds much better :) Bumper needs to be taken off again though to line up the right headlight with the bonnet as there is quite a big gap.

Lost out on some audi tt pedals earlier on ebay :(, so am going to buy some from audi.

Hopefully getting spoiler and door handles sorted out this coming friday :D

Will keep you informed :)
