Thanks mate,

Yeah having used them for a week and a bit now i am really pleased with them. So comfy and supportive. However you do sit quite a lot lower again and have had to lower the steering wheel to its lowest adjustment

Been stuck in the snow down here in my uncles village for about 3 days but finally got home last night after digging up the whole village road. I saw a few Land Rovers going for it so thought if they can do it a polo can do it. To everyones surprise it made it :D
Not a lot more news at the moment just waiting for stuff to arrive in the mail :)

Good Stuff :)

I'm toying with the idea of getting a couple of recaro's for the front next year because the standard seats despite being comfy dont really hold you in the seat very well. I know how you feel about waiting for stuff in the post, I have been waiting for weeks for some things but they still havent turned up.

Lets hope this snow goes asap!

What recaros would you consider? Mine are the speeds.

Also Alex are the standard leather ones the same as the cloth ones in shape etc? Or are there more differences?

Right the ice and snow is melting so been able to get the polo out again. On the way home a Glanza Starlet turbo was at the lights. I thought they where a lot more powerful than the little polo but thought i would go anyway. Anyway the polo came out top and at the next lights he said he was running about 210hp boosting at 1.2 bar. Don't quite believe this but still quite happy with the little polo :D

Ive gone up against one of them. Had him up to 60, but after that the boost just leaves the GTI behind :(

They are quick little cars the Glanza Turbo, apparently they run 8.4 seconds to 60 (stock) but with Jap cars you never quite know.

Yeah it was only a short strip so I guess the full boost didn't spool up. Still happy though.

Another scary thing just happened. My mate/housemate has a w reg mk 4 golf. He just unlocked it remotely and my car behind flashed up along with his :? And unlocked it as well and disables the alarm. I thought that there were lots of frequensys and the chains of having the same must be low. Slightly worrying :0

They are quick indeed,i doubt he was running that power to have only just beaten you.My friend has a Glanza V with a TDO4 turbo conversion on it running 215BHP and it will leave my GTI easily.Although when his was stock they were fairly even until later speeds like 60 where the extra torque the turbo preoduces definately pulled from the GTI.

Got to love having a play with other cars, especially when you're running stiff suspension you can out run so many cars through the bends.

Edit

Just read your other comment, thats really odd and shouldn't be happening dude. Each car should have it's own unique encryption although they do work on very close proximity frequencies if not the same.Id get it checked out maybe at the dealership.

Cheers dude,

Yeah slightly worried about that. Hope it never gets left unlocked when he drives off. I know it re locks itself but is still a bit dodgy.

I do enjoy a play now and then at the lights. Its always good fun. Especially when people don't realise how nippy these little cars really are. I had some bodykitted up Saxo VTR the other day and the little polo left him for dirt :D

Right small update,

Been lovely cold and wet weather here, went to drive home last night and it would not start. All ignition lights illuminated but no crank. Managed to bump it by towing it with an L200, so thought it would be a starter motor. Had it in work all day and narrowed it down to the ignition switch. Starter motor was fine :D

HOWEVER TOOK 4 HOURS TO GET THE BLOODY AIRBAG OFF THE WHEEL!!!!!!

Got a new ignition switch and its all back to working order now :D

Was very tempted to put in a starter button after 4 hours of swearing at the bloody thing but patience prevailed and all is well :)

Something to note for the future - never bump start the polo as it floods the cat with unburnt fuel and will damage it when (and if) it starts lol

I was tempted to do that when I had ignition switch problems, but when you start trying to bypass the immobiliser and all that, hell lets loose.

I know what you mean with the airbag lol I have worked out how to do it now, but first time took me absolutely ages with plenty of swearing

Thanks for that alex. I will remember that for future reference. I did think it was smelling a bit fuely. Will that burn itself out of the cat?

Yeah, now that i know how to do the airbag it its not too bad. Just a bit fiddly and i didn't want to damage anything so may have been a bit to light on it at first.

Sad news today as last night some drunk F*&@!^G C+@T!!!!!!!!! thought it would be funny to try and kick my wing mirror off    The good thing is he was too drunk so missed but has scuffed his boot straight down the side of my drivers door. Slight scuffing but sooooo annoying. Hoping some polish will get rid of it. The police have been involved as my mates car was also damaged with the C@%K booting his whole mirror on the floor.

Some people just have no consideration so a bit pissed off today! Put the work in and its all ways other people who bugger it up for you!
