TheFrog's Blue GT 6C
Re: TheFrog's Blue GT 6C
Might give that 1+2 a try tomorrow. On 2+2 but seems to have lost some of the lower down power. Excellent pull mid-high though. I just found 1+1 pinned me more to my seat from the off, but then seemed to drop off a bit after 50-60ish. Either way still alot better than standard

Re: TheFrog's Blue GT 6C
Just did a 10 mile round trip on P2 -1 and it felt more 'natural', less messed with than P2 0.
I have just set it to P1 +2 for comparison next time.

P1 +2 is definitely 'softer' than the P2 -1 I was running before, but it feels more natural, too. I will keep it on this setting for a while and see how I get on.
Re: TheFrog's Blue GT 6C
Thought you might prefer it! Also oddly my stop start after months of not working is now fully working every time. I grounded the box to a battery hold down instead of the terminal as the terminal has the start stop probe on.TheFrog wrote:P1 +2 is definitely 'softer' than the P2 -1 I was running before, but it feels more natural, too. Tried 1+2 but didnt seem that good for me. Back on 1+1. Read up on one golf forum and they seem to get best from 1+1 by looks of it

Hehe, yes sorry, I can imagine it's a bit confusing if you don't own one of these tuning boxes. There are basically 3 programs, each of which you can tweak up to +3 or -3, so 21 settings in total. I find it a bit of a faff changing them, TBH, so am trying to find out what the consensus is in advance.Mart!n-GTI-DK wrote:wow... Re: TheFrog's Blue GT 6C
Haha you had no idea. The old FSR box I had originally had to be taken apart with a screwdriver and jumpers moved to change program. This is simple!TheFrog wrote:Hehe, yes sorry, I can imagine it's a bit confusing if you don't own one of these tuning boxes. Re: TheFrog's Blue GT 6C
My solution to the Polo's not-very-useful cupholders.
On the left, a Renault 'bin' for my unwrapped chewing gum. As the Polo's cupholders are so deep, I put two 13mm discs of Dynaliner foam in the bottom to lift the bin out a little, so that the lid can open properly.
On the right, a Skoda phone holder, part n°5JA 857 953 9B9, cost €18 (many thanks to Doc_House for the heads-up on this). Again with a strip of 13mm Dynaliner added in the bottom to both lift the phone a little and make for softer dunking. I also put some Blutac around the underside lip of the holder to stop it moving around inside the cupholder.

Hardly ever drink while I drive. If I do, I just remove the bin and put it in the door pocket.

Re: TheFrog's Blue GT 6C
Same technique as on most cars: warm the area with a hairdryer until almost too hot to touch, then pry the badges away from the paintwork with your fingernails, or a plastic trim removal tool. You may then have to remove any residual gunge from the paintwork with a suitable mild solvent.
Don't know about the rubbing strips - wouldn't look very nice, IMO.
